Chilli Breeze.

So, Thomas has got a new plane, only this time it is even better (but don't tell Nick V) than his Club 2000. When Thomas' Club 2000 clobbered itself into the beach it was apparent that he wouldn't have a plane of his own again, so I gave him a spare Chilli Breeze wing I had laying around. "Have you got a plan for the fuselage" Thomas asked. I replied that i did but did not know where...so I had to lend him my fuselage (I've got a Chilli Breeze too) so he could draw around it to make his own plan. And as you can see it has turned out pretty good, if a little blinding. He even forked out for a new engine, an ASP 36 from Just Engines. So, he turned up at the site with it, we ran the engine in then it was my job to test-fly it. Well, having my own "Breeze" helped, but I have not flown it for about 4 years. So, it was lined up on the runway, he let go and it was off, and at about 50 feet up I barrel-rolled it. Then I trimmed it out and did a few aerobatics...4-point roll, inverted, stall-turns, loops and rolls and knife-edge. Then he says to me "can I try it now. So I gave him the controls and he flew it around to get the feel of it then he brought in to land. His first words were "That was good, it was more fun a Club 2000".

Well, after flying it quite a bit more, Thomas is getting very accustomed to the way it flies and it doing some very good pattern aerobatic flying with it.

After not very long the covering and trim started to come loose on the wings, hence the new covering, which actually looks quite smart. The blue and yellow effect stands out very well, especially on a very nice sunny day.
