The Scotland County Youth Center Task Force is a collaborative, informal partnership comprised of county agencies, private citizens and non-profit organizations that has enriched the lives of local children and youth by creating and supporting area programs. While the name implies a focus on building a community center, the original focus was on creating programs to enhance the life of children. With the final six months of funding from The Duke Endowment, the partnership wants to turn its efforts to building community support and finding the funds and resources to a community center and recreational complex. They have found that the community values this decision and will come together to make this vision a reality.
