Parson of the Hills Foundation is established to provide ministry to the church body and the unchurched primarily through Valley Haven Ministries including summer camp. Our goal is to share the gospel and love of Christ. Since the inception of Parson of the Hill Ministries the vision has been to “grow up people in the Word of God, enabling them to win others to Christ”. This vision has continued with the establishment of Valley Haven Camp and Retreat Center.In the News: Camp Joy How does a person put into words what happens when someone reaches beyond his comfort zone to minister to others? Can words express what is in ones heart? I am having a problem finding the words to express the joy I found in working with the children at Camp Joy this summer. For 2 months I planned, recruited, talked on the phone, planned, recruited, talked on the phone... I think you get the idea! Then camp started. I had faces to put to the names and the joy of watching all the planning come into fruition.
The list could go on and on, but I hope that this gives you an idea of what Camp Joy is and what God did this summer. For all of you that have given so faithfully to this ministry, know that the children were truly blessed. However I think in many ways, those of us who had the privilege of working with Camp Joy were the most blessed!
