This is an intersting record. There's a long story behind it, but these were allegedly pressed from HMV masters. From what I can tell, during the World War I, German companies that were associated with HMV and Victor 'confiscated' the business assets of companies based in enemy combatant countries. Hence, some companies issued records from these 'confiscated' masters. This practice of confiscating the property of 'enemy combatants' was obviously not limited to record masters and not a practice unique to Germany, but that's a whole other story......
