~Thank you for visiting~
My nickname has a very special meaning to me, my family and friends, and when we get to know each other, I'll "let you in" on the secret.
I lived in West Virginia all my life, until April, 2002, when I moved to North Carolina to be closer to my children.
I am the mother of 2 wonderful children. Jeff, my oldest, is married to Elizabeth and they live in Charlotte, NC. They both work in horticulture and grow such beautiful things! Elizabeth has a
beautiful yard with lovely flower gardens and Jeff enjoys wood-working. He is so much like his Grandfather and has made so many pretty things. Elizabeth is very talented, too. She makes soap, cross-stitches and makes great pickles! They are really involved in geocaching and love the outdoors. They enjoy canoeing, hiking and camping. They were married in April, 2001.
Jeff and Elizabeth love animals and are wonderful with them. Jeff has had Glory, a beautiful Golden Retriever, for almost 10 years. She is a wonderful, smart dog. Recently, Miss Paisley came to live at the Zembry home. She is an Australian Shepherd and is absolutely awesome. Elizabeth is training Paisley to compete in obstacle courses. She is the youngest pup in her training class, but is the smartest one of all. (of course...)

Kimberly is six years younger than Jeff and she is a Registered Nurse. She is a graduate of UNC with her BSN in Nursing. On September 3, 2004 she was married to Jason.
Jason and Kimberly live in Hickory, NC, and have a beautiful home. They have many of the same interests and love to spend time at the beach. Jason loves the outdoors and works for a large trucking company.
He also helps his family with raising cattle and takes very good care of their new home. Kimberly is very talented and loves music, crafts and cooking. She did all of the flowers for their wedding. Recently, Kimberly wrote this story. Here is the link to Kimberly's story - one of personal reward in the practice of nursing. This church has published Kim's story on their web site and here is the link.
When possible, I love to travel, camp and fish. The beach is the best "get away " I know! Recently, Kimberly and I took a cruise to the Western Caribbean. It was wonderful - I love to cruise!
I have been a Registered Nurse for 32 years. Every day, as a nurse, we are challenged and blessed. Seeing the miracle of healing and being a small part of God's plan is a wonderful gift.
I have been an R.N. for so many years and have had all kinds of experiences! I taught nursing for several years years and have recently taught some college courses.
I have never been bored in my life! My hobbies include floral design (I owned a florist for several years), collecting miniatures and reading. I enjoy dancing and music of all kinds.
The computer has opened up a whole new world for me! I enjoy learning something new each day. The opportunity to make new friends is just wonderful!
I have written a story about a part of my life that changed me forever. You will find my story, "And Then We Were Three", listed below on my favorite sites. It is with much love I have written this story. I have given this presentation to hundreds of schools, churches and civic organizations over the years and I would love to share it with you.
~What I Look for in Others~
The characteristics I admire in others are honesty, consideration of others and a sense of humor. I have good friends, and they are very precious to me. My Dad always told me, "Don't waste your heart on folks who are not true friends, there are too many people out there who need a GOOD friend to do that!" I took his advice.....
Finding a friend who is genuine is not easy. I am a loyal friend and have a tendency to expect the same from others. Many times I have been disappointed, but I have discovered if I don't risk being "hurt", I may miss the chance of finding that wonderful friend who will stick with me through "thick and thin", and for whom I would do the same.
I do not trust people who are jealous of others, and I cannot build a friendship without trust.
