Under the leadership of Brothers Dick Schaenzer and Bob Giddens, Parker-Wood Knights brought a wee bit of Ireland to North Carolina on March 15 with the Council’s -- and the St. James Altar Society’s -- annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner-Dance.

Chef Schaenzer and his kitchen crew served up traditional fare consisting of corned beef, potatoes and cabbage. Altar Society members provided a delectable dessert table, as well as adding a touch of green to the St. James Parish Hall.

Diners had an opportunity to shed a few of the newly acquired calories with an evening of dancing to a mix of contemporary American and traditional Irish music. The evening raised nearly $400, which was divided equally between the two organizations.
