History:
Fathers Parker-Wood Council 9365 received its charter from the Supreme Council on June 26, 1986. When the council first was established it met at St. Paul’s Church in Henderson, NC. It now meets at St. James Church in Henderson.
The Council is proud that it has become the leader in community service, church service and family unity programs within our parish. Parker-Wood Knights helped lead the effort to combine two neighboring parishes, St. Catherine's in Oxford and St. Paul's in Henderson, into the single St. James parish which exists today. Knights also have led in parish construction and expansion projects.
Council 9365 has attracted members from several generations and from both the Spanish- and English-speaking communities. With an often transitional Catholic community, we have been one of the most stabilizing influences on our parish.
