Corporate Kindness
Grand Knight Chuck Sullivan, left, and 2003 Operation L.A.M.B. Chairman Mike Snow, accept a $1,000 donation from Dennis Wallace, store manager of the Wal-Mart Super Center in Henderson. The corporate donation is the first of its kind for Council 9365.

Prayers for Peace
Council 9365 offered a rosary-centered prayer program for world peace with the hosting of a Marian Hour of Prayer in May 2003. The Council displayed a framed icon of Our Lady of the Rosary in the St. James narthax, and Brothers led a rosary recitation before the Sunday vigil (Brother Bob Giddens), Sunday morning mass (Brother Greg Brelinsky) and Sunday morning Latino mass (in Spanish by Brother Felix Saez).

The Marian Hour of Prayer continues the Council’s devotion to our Blessed Mother. In the past, the Council has constructed a Marian Prayer Path and Marian Garden for the spiritual enrichment of St. James parishioners.

Kudos
The artistic talents of Brother Mike Winner again are on display at St. James. New altar tapestries and vestments used during Ordinary Time, as well as vestments for the pastor, were designed by Mike and furnished by the Altar Society. Mike's pen-and-ink drawing of St. James Church can be found outside the main  entrance to the Parish Hall as well as on the cover of the weekly bulletin.
