ALL GUILD OFFICERS ARE TO UPHOLD THE VIRTUES, CODES OF CONDUCT, AND LAWS OF OMK AND TO ENFORCE THEM IF NEEDED.GUILD OFFICERS HAVE A RESPONSABILITY TO REPORT MEMBERS WHO ARE PROBLEMATIC OR A LIABILITY. ALL ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THIER POSITION TO LEAD BY EXAMPLE AND TO HOLD UTMOST LOYALTY TO THE GUILD.
Herein is contained a list of OMK ranks and the descriptions of thier duties:
GUILDMASTER
The Guildmaster is the top administrative officer in the guild. Job related duties include calling for, and presiding over: general guild meetings, officer meetings and councils of war, interviewing with potential recruits, and maintaining the morale and general welfare of OMK. The Guildmaster reserves the right, above any reproach, to dismiss any recruit at any time and to promote/demote officers of the guild.
LORD KNIGHT / GRAND AVATAR
The Lord Knight and Grand Avatar are administrators of the guild who oversee the rest of the membership (excluding legion troops) and take command in absence of the Guildmaster. They are also responsable for recruiting new members, acting as advisors to the GM, and ambassadors to friendly/enemy guilds. Both the Lord Knight and Grand Avatar will handle internal guild matters along with the Guildmaster and will organize guild training and hunts for treasury funds.
KNIGHT OF THE LEGION
The Knight of the Legion is commander of the guilds elite fighters. As Home Guard commander this officer reports to the Guildmaster and no other. The legion commander is free to administer his/her own unit rules, colors, tactics, and promote / demote non-commissioned unit officers and whatever else he/she deems fit for the unit or guild. In absence of any higher ranks this officer will have command of all members present.
KNIGHT
A Knight of the guild is an officer responsable for a number of members formed into a company under his/her command. These officers will report to the Lord Knight and Grand Avatar. As a Knight, duties include: strong and steady leadership of his/her designated unit, strict observance of guild rules, and training to maximize the potential of thier company members. Knights of a company can promote / demote non-commissioned officers within thier company and are allowed to designate a company uniform if they choose.
CAPTAIN
A Captain is an officer that assists the Knight in the leadership and goals of his/her assigned company. The Captain will have command of his/her unit when the Knight is absent or any guild members of lesser rank if there are no other officers present.
SERGEANT
Sergeants are non-commisioned officers given the responsabilities of helping train junior company members and assisting in unit/guild endeavors.
QUARTERMASTER
The Quartermaster stocks and organizes guild supplies and will restock items, using treasury funds to procure them.
TREASURER
The Treasurer is responsable for collecting and, in part, creating guild funds. Only the Guildmaster and Quartermaster are allowed to recieve money from the treasury to make purchases for the guild.
LEGIONNAIRE
Legionnaires are handpicked members that make up an elite fighting unit that serves as the guilds honor guard. These members are decided upon by the Legions Knight. All Legionnaires are expected to be exemplary members of OMK and perform accordingly.
