My Daddy
My Daddy left before I got to know him,
I was just a tiny little baby,
When Jesus called him home,
But one thing I know for sure is my Daddy loved me.
My Grandma and my Mommy tell me all about him,
I know he is with me everywhere I go,
Because he loved me so much and was so proud of me,
We would have been best buddies I know.
I love and miss my Daddy so much and so does Grandma,
In my smile and the twinkle in my eyes, she sees Daddy,
And she hears him in my giggles and laughter,
Daddy left her a special gift in me.
I see other kids with their Daddies and though it makes me kind of sad,
I know I have a very special Daddy in Heaven above,
And no matter what, no matter where, my Daddy is always there,
He is watching over me and surrounding me with his love.
At night when I lay down to sleep,
He helps to gently tuck me in,
And as he stands over me he quietly whispers,
I'll always be your Daddy and you'll always be my Little Man...
