"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him” (Thessalonians 4:13-14).

Dear Christian Friends:

It has been said that we can look at death in two ways; as an enemy or as a friend. Marie looked at it as a friend, and so it is a friend, because of God’s promise and her finest hour.

Marie went home to be with the Lord this morning as our sons and myself held her. We have confidence that it was her finest hour as our Gracious Heavenly Father freed her from pain and suffering.

One of her favorite verses was “I am pursuing Christ (the prize), in order that I may lay hold on Him, or fully possess Him and thus fulfill the purposes in my life for which He first laid hold on me, and possessed me.” This speaks of her life.

Thank you all for lifting her up to our Lord, and we thank Him for “coming quickly.”

May we all rejoice as we know that my Marie is with our Lord Jesus at this moment.
