The wCw logo fades up on the screen, and then it fades in, and we see a close up, straight away of Chris Benoit's eyes. Full of rage, and distorted in a frown, the camera pans out, revealing the rest of his face, scrunched up in an angry scowl. Benoit is breathing heavily, and the camera pans out more, and we see he is sitting on the balcony of his hotel room, overlooking the entire city. Wearing his 'PAIN IS GAIN!' T-Shirt, tracksuit bottoms and trainers, he sits, his hands gently resting in his lap. He takes a few more breathes, and then he begins to speak.

||Chris Benoit||People have been asking me......am I shocked? Am I shocked by what happened on Nitro, when Booker accepted my challenge? Was I shocked? YOU BET YOUR ASS I WAS! But not because Booker accepted......IM SHOCKED THAT BOOKER T WAS THAT STUPID! Im shocked, because book just put a big, red target on his chest, and now he has an angry Wolverine running after him. So yeah, I am shocked. But that is NOTHING compared to pure HATRED I feel for Book. Ive heard the comments he made about me being a joke, about me not being worthy of being the United States Champion. I heard it all book......but guess what? IVE HEARD THAT ALL BEFORE! Ive been told my whole life, that I will never be the best, that I will never be a worthy Champion! But guess what Book, just like I proved them doubters, I PROVED YOU WRONG AS WELL! Because right now, regardless of what you say or think, I AM THE BEST DAMN TECHNICAL WRESTLER IN THE WORLD TODAY! And, its coming up to Match NUMBER TWO! My record speaks for itself Book, I have beaten the best this company has had to offer. And there was a time when you were one of them. But not anymore.......THOSE DAYS HAVE PASSED YOU BY!

Chris Benoit stands up, and briskly walks to the balcony endge, and rests his arms on the railing, looking out over the city.

Your hard hitting axe kicks were the reason you were so succesful. But Book, there is a difference between just throwing people around the ring whenever, as opposed to being a technically gifted athlete. Something I am......AND SOMETHING YOU WILL NEVER BE! I watched you when you was on top of your game book, and yeah, I admired your knowledge of moves. But Booker, whereas you had knowledge, I had the ability. BECAUSE I AM THE BEST DAMN TECHNICAL WRESTLER IN THE WORLD TODAY! I make German Suplex's and Diving Headbutt's look like a work of art. There is no one on my level, ESPECIALLY YOU BOOK! And I have proof. No one is on my level, because there can only be one UNITED STATES CHAMPION! And book, that Champion.....WILL BE ME! Not you, not Batista, not Triple H......ME! I have busted my ass for 18 years to get here, I have gone through more trauma's than you will ever know. Do you really think Im going to surrendor myself to you this friday on Nitro? Chris Benoit reaches up, and itches his head a few times. He cracks his neck a few times, and continues, the same angry expression on his face.

We were both in World Championship Wrestling, and while you spent years there, becomming World Champion, I moved on, to bigger and better things. But while I was in WCW, I did the exact same thing you did. Face it Book, your not the only one who can brag about injuring people. HOW THE HELL DO YOU THINK I BECAME KNOWN AS THE CRIPPLER? I broke Sabu's neck Book, and thats another thing, you and I have in common. Not to mention the fact that we both love inflicting pain on people. Its been well documented how much joy you gain from beating someone to a pulp, just like you did to me last week! Everyone knows about your history, how you came from the streets, how you are one of the toughest guys in the industry. But Book, they dont know about me. Sure, they know about my long journey to the top, how much pain I had to endure until I finally got what I deserved. But they dont know about my love for pain.......AND HOW I ENJOY MAIMING PEOPLE! See Book, you obviously had no idea what you had let yourself into when you accepted my challenge. Chris Benoit angrily pushes himself back off of the balcony, and turns to the camera..

And do you want to know why? Because I AM WORTHY OF BEING UNITED STATES CHAMPION! I have proven it again and again. While you were sitting by, did you notice me rip through everyone, and single handedly dismantle Evolution? Did you watch at my debut, when I crippled The Outsiders, and beat them? So far on Nitro, I have been screwed. And this time, I will make you pay. Im not afraid of you......your whole I'm better than you doesnt scare me at all. How many times, in the last 18 years do you think Ive heard that? I wanted this match Book. If you thought you were just making a point on Nitro, you were wrong. You were starting a war. A war that Im going to win this friday. I know you have Eric Bischoff on your side, but believe me, no matter what plans you and Eric have, when I have you locked in the Crossface, when I have you screaming in pain, and begging for mercy.........YOU WILL TAP OUT! Chris Benoit then stares into the camera, with passion and anger burning in his eyes.

With that, Chris Benoit turns, and walks back into his hotel room, as the camera slowly turns, and looks over the huge city, all lit up. It slowly fades to the WCW logo, as the scene comes to an end.
