I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1Jn 5:13

This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. 1Jn 3:10

Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. 1Jn 2:6

If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 1Jn 1:6

And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. 1Jn 23, 24

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1Jn 5:14

We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true--even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1Jn 5:20

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 1Pet 4:1-3

To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 1Pet 2:21.

Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Jas 4:4

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. 1Jn 2:15-17

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, Titus 2:11,12

They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. Titus 1:16

Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his,” and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” 2Tim 2:19

In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 2Tim 3:12
