About The church
At Indian Trail

By John Rhinehart

The church at Indian Trail is a body of believers (the church) that seek with their whole heart to know the full depths of God's Word and to live the most holy life before God and man.

We, the church, trust 100% on the Word of God and do not sway from our responsibility to hold forth the Word before a world that struggles to be "tolerant" and believing that "Jesus is not the only way to heaven." (Jn 14:5; Acts 4:12)

We unashamedly stand OUTSIDE what is called "Christianity" today. As Jesus rejected and opposed what was called "Judaism" in His day (Matthew 23; John chapters 5, 8, & 10; etc.), so we reject and oppose what is typically called "Christianity" in this present evil age (Philippians 2:15). Incidentally, for those who have ears to hear (Revelation 3:22), this is exactly where the Lord has called all believers in Christ to stand.

Over the past few years, we have been seeing how the "Church" of today is steeped in false doctrine, lies, hypocrisy, sin, and deceit. It has been very appalling for all of us, as we study the Word of God (1 Thessalonians 5:21), to see how steeped in error the "Church" at large is. Should we be surprised at this? Actually No. We have been warned.
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away. (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears. (Acts 20:29-31)

Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. (Phil 3:17-19)

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away form the truth and turn aside to myths. (2Tim 4:3, 4)

Unlike so many, we do not peddle the Word for profit. 2Cor 2:17

We do not use deception, nor do we distort the Word of God--2Cor 4:2

We are encouraged to speak the Word of God more courageously and fearlessly.--Phil 1:14

When you received the Word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the Word of God, which is at work in you who believe.--1Th 2:13

So that no one will malign the Word of God--Tit 2:5

Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction.--2Tim 4:2

Heb 4:12 2Pet 3:16 w/2Cor 1:13
The church today is so concerned how one should use their tithe. Should we give in the local church or other ministries. Or, we are so concerned on build great buildings to house its people. Or, so concerned about or retirements; our 401K’s and stocks. So concerned about being entertained at church. So concerned about who we should elect for public officials. So concerned about our self-esteem. All of this and more could be said about today’s church but what is most startling is the verse of Rev. 3:20 which is often taken out of context.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Yes, the church has kicked Jesus, the Lord out from the mist of themselves and Jesus is asking the church, not sinners, to open the door and let him back into their hearts.

Our concerns should be keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus (Heb 12:2) and to live holy lives (1Pet 1:15) not loving the world or the things in the world (1Jn 2:15-17); setting our minds on things above and not on the earth (Col 3:1,2).
