For those who are interested, however, this little corner of the world is a place where we hope we can share some of the details of our genealogical journey with you in a way that would not have been appropriate in the more public part of the website. So look for a purple border around the little typist icon at the bottom of each web page. If you find one, click on it for more information about how or where we found what we found. No purple border, no information.

Genealogy is, by its very nature, an ongoing and never ending hobby. It is obviously impossible to know who all your ancestors were, or even to know but a fraction of their life stories. So genealogy becomes a process that continues slowly and intermittently, with occasional discoveries, often ending at a dead-end on one path or another. There are often long periods of inactivity. And so, of course, this website will always be a work in progress, mirroring what happens in our research. We invite you to come back and visit every once in a while, for one never knows when a new nugget of information might crop up. Or when one of us will have found the time to add a tidbit that we thought might be of interest.
