Best Little Thrift Shop in Town!!

The Thrift Shop is operated by Mrs. Adgelean Whitehead and her assistant, Mrs. Vivian Booth, our Title V worker.

The shop is open Tuesday through Friday from 12 noon until 5 p.m. If you have usable donations of clothing, furniture or household items, call 586-3215 for a truck pick-up or bring the items to the center. Donations are accepted even when the shop is not open. Our Thrift Shop has a slogan, "Just put it on the porch". If you require a receipt for tax purposes, leave a note with your name and address and we'll mail you a receipt.

We are currently working to add a section that will have brand new gifts and greeting cards for that "last minute gift". Many times you might find yourself needing something "right now" so we are working to fill that need.

Now that the Thrift Shop has been expanded, we have a separate room to house donations of furniture. We have received many donations that have gone out very quickly so we are still in need of furniture, working appliances, and any other household appliances.

We would like to share with you some of the steps of our remodel.

Our Chairman of the Board, Rev. Michael Richardson, on the left, and Robert Evans begin work.

The sawdust begins to fly!

Robert is real happy that Rev. Mike is working!

Carolyn Hedgepeth begins to move things to their new home.

Rev. Johnson's new office begins to take shape.

Our "Between-Agers" helped in the move.

Nelson Pearson, our "does everything guy" sets up glassware in the new space.

Miss Ava doesn't care what goes on around her, she wants to try on shoes!
