Gray's Creek's Tanker 1821

Tanker 1821

Tanker 1821 is a 1995 "FES" Tanker. 1821 is the First response Tanker on all fire calls in the Gray's Creek Fire District and the back up unit for mutual aid response.

The tanker responds with a 500 GPM Power Take off Pump, with a side mounted pump-panel. The Booster Tank carries 1500 gallons of water. The Tank can be off loaded by use of a Jet-Assist Ames Quick Dump, located on the rear of the Engine. There are two 3" Refill intake is also located on the rear of the unit for faster refills at a draft site or when the tank is supplied by another unit.

The tanker carries two preconnected 200 feet of 1.75" attack hose lines, laid in the cross lays for easy access. 400 feet 3" supply hose.

The PTO Pump allows us to use this apparatus in combatting grass and brush fire, while doing a "pump n roll" operation. On top midship is a 1.75" nozzle for this operation. Firefighter can attack the fire from this position as the apparatus moves about the fire ground. This has proven to be luxury in combatting wildland type fires.

The tanker's main water supply is from a draft site using a Tanker water shuttle, a portable water tank and uses a 4" draft hose.
