The Effects of Water Pollution on our Environment

I will be presenting the effects of water pollution on the environment. This is important because water is one of our most vital natural resources. Without water, life would not be possible.

The earth's continuously growing population increases the demand for clean water. With growing populations comes more pollution, meaning we need to work even harder to keep our water clean and fresh. Polluted lakes and streams and overpumping and contamination of groundwater resources has reduced the amount of fresh water available. People must make decisions on what they want to use their water for. Priorities have to be set straight: generate electricity or support the fish habitat, build an airport or preserve a wetland, water fields or supply cities?
