The Patriot offense remained hot, thanks to junior Max Brenner, as the Patriots posted a second 7-0 conference win this week.
The Patriots (11-2-2, 7-0) defeated Douglas Byrd Wednesday night at the John Williams Athletic Center.
Wednesday it would be Junior Max Brenner highlighting the Patriot offense scoring the first four goals, all within the first 16 minutes.
Five minutes into the game, Patriot senior captain Eric Parziale hit Brenner with a long downfield pass which Brenner neatly one-touched off the right post to start his scoring spree.
A minute later Junior Aaron Stroker threaded a pass to Brenner running alone which he then slid underneath the keeper for 2-0.
Senior Tyler Herbst and Jack Talton assisted on Brenner's final two goals.
After Brenner gave the Patriots a 4-0 lead, head coach Larry Martin began wholesale substitutions.
The Patriots' depth shone through as the reserves managed three more goals.
Freshman Richard Palmer, Talton and Michael Pigg all scoring for Pinecrest.
The Patriot defense locked down the Eagles all night, preventing Douglas Byrd from getting a shot on goal.
The Patriots return to action Monday when they host Richmond County, a team they defeated 2-1 earlier this season.
