Frustration would be the name of the game Wednesday night as the Pinecrest Patriots battled Fayetteville Academy to a 2-2 draw.      The Patriots (9-1-2) battled back to tie the score at 2-all on a goal by John Kropp with 12 minutes remaining in the game.      Before the clock ran out, four Patriot shots hit the goal frame as the Patriots searched for the tie-breaking goal.      Friday, the Patriots will host fourth-ranked Apex High School at John Williams Athletic Complex.      Against Fayetteville Academy, the seventh-ranked private school, Pinecrest jumped ahead 1-0 when Patriot senior captain Eric Parziale teed up a free kick from 45 yards out from goal and drove it to the top left corner of the goal. The Eagles knotted the score four minutes later when a free kick from 30 yards was volleyed over Pinecrest senior Keeper Matt Scott, who managed a hand on the ball but could not deflect over the net.      Pinecrest Junior back Dylan Cole would save another sure Eagle goal with his hustle as he caught an attacker who had already beaten Scott and directed the ball out of play. The half ended 1-1.      Fayetteville Academy broke the tie five minutes into the second half.      The Patriots outshot Fayetteville 15-3. The Patriots peppered the the Eagle goalie with shots throughout the second half.      Pinecrest broke through when Kropp headed in a corner kick from senior Brandon Wilkins.
