     Fresh off a Friday night tie with Wilmington Laney High School, the Pinecrest boys' soccer team easily defeated the visiting Wolverines of Westover High 9-0 Monday at John Williams Athletic Complex.
     In Friday's match in Wilmington, the Patriots used the outstanding play of keeper Brad McKeever and a score by John Kropp to earn a 1-all tie with Laney, the state's 11th-ranked 4-A squad.
     Kropp's game-tying goal came late in the game on a nice header off a cross from Thomas Goulden.
