General Information and Notices:

·       In order to compete successfully in college level classes, students must be in class and prepared for each class.  This means that you should arrive on time for each class, spent time studying before class so that you understand the material covered in the previous classes and complete any homework assignments or readings due in class.

·       In college classes, students are expected to behave like adults by showing respect for the professor and other students. and the professor.  If students are unable to behave in a responsible and polite manner, they will be removed from the class.  Examples of unacceptable behavior during class include, but are not limited to, talking while the professor or other students are talking, creating any type of disturbance during tests or quizzes. working on other classwork and having or using a cell phone, pager, ipod or walkman during class.   

·        Cheating is totally unacceptable.  Students caught cheating will receive  a grade of F for the semester.  Examples of cheating include, but are not limited to, looking at or copying from another students work during an exam, quiz or any other work that is defined as individual effort, allowing another student to look at or copy from any exam, quiz or other work that is defined as individual effort, changing any work or grades on any assignments, falsifying attendance sheets or gradesheets. 

·        School of Business courses are designed to prepare students for a successful career, therefore students are expected to attend all classes, arrive on time and sit in their assigned seat.  If you are not in your assigned seat when the roll is checked, then you will be counted absent.  If the seating chart is passed around the classroom, you are responsible for signing the roll.  If unable to attend class, the student is responsible for any assignments or schedule changes announced in class.  If a student arrives late, no extra time will be allowed for tests, quizzes or other work.

·        Assignments may be available from the website and students are expected to access the site and print any assignments.

·        In class assignments must be legible and organized properly.  These assignments will receive a grade of 0 if they are not completed in ink and legible (professor’s judgment).

·        Homework is due at the beginning of class. Late homework will not be graded (if you arrive at class late and the homework is already collected then it is too late to hand it in).

·        Out-of-class assignments must be typed.  Please include your name, assignment number, and date due on the assignment.  Use only the front side of the paper for homework assignments. If the assignment exceeds one page, the pages must be stapled together. I will not bring a stapler to class.

·        Students are responsible for picking up graded assignments such as tests and homework. All assignments are generally returned the following class period. Uncollected tests and homework will be available during office hours. 

·        All students are required to take the final test during the scheduled final test period (see class schedule).

·        Inform the instructor before class begins if you need to leave early for any reason. If you find it necessary to leave in the middle of class, please do not return as it is disturbing to the class when students leave and return
