Station 15 covers parts of North Durham that have been newly annexed by the city in the last few years. Station 15 is staffed with one engine company, the daily staffing is 3 firefighters and 1 officers. Station 15 covers predominantly residential communities with some light commercial buildings as well as a nursing home and 4 schools. Station 15 also responds mutual aid with a nearby volunteer fire department.The Station also houses a swift water rescue unit, and two boats. The members are cross-trained in swift water rescue.

SWIFT WATER RESCUE
In 1998 the department formed the Swift Water Rescue Team. The teamed formed at Engine 7. This was due to its close proximity to the Eno River. In 2000 the team was moved to Station 14 in North Durham. The team was relocated to Station 15 in 2010 for its proximity to Lake Michie and Little River Reservoir.
