
One of my missions has been to work with feral cats. Most feral cats don't adjust to the homeplace, at least as an indoor cat right away. Even though some probably won't make a good housecat, they serve their purpose to Mother Earth by remaining in their wild habitat. However, they still have the needs for medical care such as spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations and other preventative medications. By letting them remain in a natural habitat with these provisions eventually even a large "tribe" of feral cats will gradually diminish in a humane way by living out their normal lives and not procreating.
