As I work toward my goal of becoming a special education teacher, I plan to create links to some of the more informative things I have discovered during my many hours on the Web.
One of the best personal special education sites that I have found is Marc's Special Education Page, which has an outstanding list of links to various resources. Another great site for anyone who works with exceptional children is Wright's Law, which has a wealth of articles, case law, and information about special education. The following pages present some of the information that I have found while researching various disorders. The first, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, covers such disabilities as Autism, Child Disintegrative Disorder, and Rett's Syndrome. Other pages will include Specific Learning Disabilities, Conduct Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Bi-Polar Disorder, Mental Retardation, and Other Health Impairments.
