Continuing the Journey
We are back in Raleigh after a wonderful week in Montego Bay. Mount Ward Methodist Church, where we were working, looks great. It was built in 1895 and we cleaned the limestone walls, tore down an exterior bathroom, and dug the footer for an addition. We also painted the class house at Milestown. It was hot and hard work but it was also very rewarding. The people there were wonderful and the children were delightful and energetic. On Sunday we went to St. John's Methodist Church for a celebration of John Wesley's birthday and an annual gathering of the Zone 5 circuits. There were approximately 1000 people in attendance and the worship service was very uplifting -- not to mention an appopriate way to end our week in Jamaica.
Team Journal
Most of our team journal is uploaded so you can read about our experiences while we were in Jamaica.
Trip Pictures
Some of our mission pictures are now loaded. Take a look at the evening view of MoBay from the porch where we held our first devotion, the work pictures at Mt. Ward Methodist Church, and some of our VBS pictures of the children. This is just a glimpse of the amazing experience we had while we were in Jamaica.
Many Thanks
Many thanks to all of you who made this mission trip possible with your generous gifts of money, school supplies, Vacation Bible School materials, and bibles. Please continue to pray for us as we share the love of Christ with the people we encounter in Jamaica.
