Water Rescue |

The Water Rescue and Recovery Team is made up of Swift water
Rescue Technicians, ERT- Swift water Rescue certified persons, and Rescue
Divers. The team responds to water rescue calls in Buncombe County
and surrounding counties as requested by the Fire Departments' whose district
the calls originate in. They also will assist with body or property
recovery. The main bodies or water in Buncombe County include the
French Broad River and the Swannanoa River as well as surrounding lakes.
Buncombe County Rescue currently has 2 Avon rafts with outboard motors as well as a 16ft. flat bottom vessel used for diving and recovery incidents. For more information on the Water Rescue and Recovery Team, please call or e-mail us. |
