Res not only taught me the ABC's and Algebra. They also taught me how to have a personal relationship with Jesus.
I know I may not be some all-knowing priest or anything, but I do know that my God loves me beyond anything that I can imagine. To me, it's more than just religion; it's a relationship that's better than any relationship here on earth. If anyone knows what it's like to be put to the test over their faith, it's me. But just when I start to doubt, God just calms me down, tells me to listen to Him, and shows me that I'm a part of something that's so awesome. Even if those closest to me left me alone, I know that the Lord would still be there for me, loving me more with every second. And when I need someone to hold me and tell me it's gonna be ok, I go straight to my God. It's kinda like the whole "sit on daddy's lap and have him tell u it'll be ok" thing. In my faith, there's so much hope and love and happiness! It makes me wonder why anyone wouldn't want to be a part of the awesome plan God has for their life.
"I will lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip - he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watched over Isreal will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." Psalm 121![]()
