Valentines Poem For My Guardian Angel February 14 2002
Valentines is almost here
Flowers, and candy, too
You're not here to give me your loving hug
But my undying love is for you
I am starting to make your second wreath It will hang with the one from last year
Made with red, pink, and white roses
Along with the photos that I hold dear
Another stuffed animal will be added To the basket that I have made Wishing I didn't have to
If only it was you that could have stayed
I will fill your dish with candy Like I always do When you make that special trip down
They will be here just for you
It's your second Heavenly Birthday Where has the past year gone My days still seem so endless Because of you I try and go on
Time seems to have stood still Since the day you left my side As I lay my head down at night My tears I just can't hide God knew how much you suffered He knew that it was time Although he was talking to you He reassured me you were mine
One day you did say to me You would love to be a bird and fly Now you have achieved that Thinking back I understand why
With your wings you flew to heaven Knowing that peace you would find there A question I keep asking Why Not Me? It just wasn't fair
When you were born it was a gift But you had to leave so fast I don't blame God for taking you back I just thought that you would last May you rest in everlasting peace You will always be my angel
GOD sent me a pair of wings today I tried them on for size Turned out to be a perfect fit And so I tried to fly I flew up past the roof tops Much higher than the trees Then I soared beyond the clouds To see what I could see I found a set of golden gates A house that holds no sin I realized I was HEAVEN bound When GOD said 'Please come in' I've had my many blessings I've counted every one I've lived a very precios life But now my time is done I know I can not take away The tears you cry for me For sadness is a part of love And I'll love you endlessly But GOD has come and called me home So much sooner than I planned He asked me to watch over you Please try to understand And when you're feeling overwhelmed That life is mean and cruel Remember GOD'S in need of me Like I'de needed all of you
To my dearest family Somethings I'd like to say But first of all to let you know That I arrived ok I'm writing this from HEAVEN Where I dwell with GOD above Where there is no more sadness There is just ETERNAL LOVE
Please do not be unhappy Just because I'm out of site Remember that I'm with you Every morning, noon, and night That night I had to leave you When my life on earth was through GOD picked me up and hugged me And said I WELCOME YOU
It's good to have you back again You were missed while you were gone As for your dearest family They will be here later on I need you here so badly As part of my big plan There is so much that we have to do To help our FELLOW MAN
Then GOD gave me a list Of things HE wished me to do And foremost on that list of MINE Was to WATCH and CARE for YOU And I will be beside you Every Day, Week, and Year And when your sad I'll be standing To wipe away the tear And when you lie in bed at night The day's chores put to flight GOD and I are closest to you In the middle of the night
When you think of my life on earth And all those loving years Because you're only human They are bound to bring YOU tears But do not be afraid to cry It does relieve the pain Remember there would be no flowers Unless there was the rain
I wish that I could tell you Of all that GOD has planned But if I were to tell you You just wouldn't understand But one thing is for certain Through my life on EARTH is o'er I am closer to you now Than I ever was before
And to my many Friends Tust GOD knows what is best I'm still not far away from you I'm just beyond the crest There are rocky roads ahead of you And hills for you to climb But together we can do it Taking one step at a time
It was always my philosophy And I'd like it for you too That as you give unto the world So the world will give to you If you can help somebody Who's in sorrow or in pain Then you can say to GOD at night My day was not in vain
And now I am contented That my life it was worth while Knowing as I passed along I made somebody smile So if you meet somebody Who is down and feeling low Just lend a hand to pick them up As on your way you go
When you're walking down the street And you've got me on your mind I'm walking in your footsteps Only half a step behind And when you feel that gentle breeze Or the wind upon you're face That's me giving you a great Big Hug Or just a soft embrace

The snow has almost gone Spring a few months away Things that are most precious They just don't seem to stay
Skates and ski's will be hung In their place for another year Boots, hats and mittens Snow angels that I hold dear
People planting their flowers The grass will again be green The sun we shall see more often Not hiding behind a screen
When I think of seasons in heaven I know there could be only one It must be filled with peace and love And it's the angels that make the sun Flowers are getting ready to bloom Lily's, violets, and tulips too I'de love to make an arrangement And send it to heaven for you
If there was an address to heaven I'de find it no matter what I have to do Knowing you won't look the same I would still show how much I love you

Another year without you I just can't believe three years have gone Still feeling that color blue
I try and keep myself busy Every day with you in mind My book, website and crafts It all comes to me so easy, as you were one of a kind
My life is like an upside down rainbow But your smile still comes through like the sun It warms my heart with laughter And will stay that way till my time is done
Your thoughtfulness still comes As a gift from way up above I will always feel surrounded By your warm and caring love
You were my friend, now my angel Who wears a special pair of wings You fly me in a blessing everyday With the most precious and loving things
You're for sure my angel Always still trying to brighten my days With your fun and loving thoughts

This is all written for you On this special day October 17th We all remember you here I know you will be celebrateing in heaven I can hear the singing and laughter now Along with all the other angels Who's parents I have met Who's son/daughter has been called home way too early But now no more pain and suffering for any of them Just peace forever until we are all reunited again
Valentine's is upon us again Flowers, hearts, candy and love They really don't mean anything now As my valentine now lives above
Above is a place called heaven Where I know my valentine is free From pain, suffering and heartache But I have to believe he watches over me
The thoughtful gifts he gave me I will forget never But it was the pictures he drew me Those I will treasure forever
The valentine's wreaths, stuffed animals and balloons Hang where they always are And always will be Nothing will ever be moved Especially your drawings They will forever be with me
As I remember your handsome face Your green eyes, how they did shine I will always be blessed and honored To have been able to call you mine
God gave me one of the greatest gifts And I had 25 wonderful years of your love (My Angel) To know now that you are at peace Back home with God in heaven above
When my work here on earth is done God will call me home, we will be together Birthdays, Easter, Valentines and Christmas Whatever it may be, it will be forever (Eternity)
Come, take my hand, the road is long. We must travel by stepping stones. No, you're not alone, I'll go with you. I know the road well, I've been there. Don't fear the darkness. I'll be wih you. We must take one step at a time. But remember we may have to stop a while. It is a long way to the other side and there are many obstacles.
We have many stones to cross. Some are bigger than others...SHOCK, DENIAL and ANGER to start. Then comes GUILT,DESPAIR and LONELINESS. It's a hard road to travel but it must be done. It the only way to reach the other side.
Come, slip your hand in mine. What? Oh yes, it's strong. I've held so many hands like your's. Yes, mine was one time small and weak like yours. Once, you see, I had to take someone's hand in order to take the first step. Oops! You've stumbled. Go ahead and cry. Don't be ashamed, I understand. Let's wait here a while and catch your breath. When your stronger we'll go on, one step at a time. There is no need to hurry.
Say, its nice to hear you laugh. Yes, I agree, the memories you shared are good. Look, we're half way there now; I can see the other side. It looks so warm and sunny. Oh, have you noticed? We're nearing the last stone and you're standing alone. And look, you're hands, you've let go of mine and we've reached the other side.
But wait. Look back. Someone is standing there. They are alone and want to cross the stepping stones. I better go; they need my help. What? Are you sure? Why yes; I'll wait. You know the way-you've been there. Yes, I agree-it's your turn, my friend-to help someone else across the stepping stones.
This poem was given to my family by Beareved Families-Author Unknown. Ontario Canada. I wanted to share this with a very good friend Patricia Powell who ownes this beautiful site, and all her visitor's. Also in memory of my son. We all have to believe that when GOD calls us home we will all cross over the stepping stones to the other side and see our loved ones.
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all up hill, When funds are low and debts are high, And instead of a smile you have a sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest in God's love - and never quit. Life can be strange with it's twist and turns, And many a failed man has turned away, When with God's help he'd have won the day.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow- For you may succeed with another go - Success is failure turned inside out, The silver glint in the cloud of doubt, You never can tell how close you are - The goal may be near when it seems so far. So turn to the lord when you're hardest hit. Put your trust in him and never quit.
