Welcome to PsxFanatic's Realm

Sunday, May 14: Welcome to PsxFanatic's St. Louis Cardinals and Mark McGwire Page. On this page you will find information on the St. Louis Cardinals and Mark McGwire. You will find 2000 game summaries, team statistics and news, monthly polls, a Mark McGwire home run watch, and much more. Sorry I haven't updated in a while, but it's hard to get motivated to write about the Cardinals when they are losing. Hopefully the Cardinals will turn things around and I will keep updating every day.

PsxFanatic's Cardinal of the Week: Fernando Vina

Lead-off man Fernando Vina sets the table for the Cardinals offense: The Cardinals acquisition of Fernando Vina over the off-season looks like another good move by the Cards front office. Vina has become the catalyst for Cardinals booming offense, by getting on base in front of the Cards heavy hitters. Vina's all-out style of play has also been an impressive and welcome addition to the Cards roster. Fernando was injured most of last season while with the Milwaukee Brewers, but Vina looks like he never missed a beat. With a true lead-off man for the first time in years, the Cardinals should have no problem scoring runs.

Avg. G AB R H TB HR RBI BB SB Slg. Obp.
.333 35 141 31 47 68 2 9 15 5 .482 .427
