Ghulam M. Shaikh, M.D.





Originally from Larkana, Pakistan, Dr. Shaikh completed his medical school from Sind Medical College, Karachi, and his residency training at New York Methodist Hospital, University of Cornell, NY in 1995. He is a Board Certified Internist (ABIM), and has been practicing medicine in NC since 1995. He worked at the C.O.Boyette Medical Clinic and Pungo Distric Hospital in Belhaven, NC as a primary care physician, while also serving in positions such as Chief of Medical Staff and Director of Intensive Care Unit. He has also served as an Associate Clinical Professor, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC.

Dr. Shaikh has been serving residents of the Triangle since early 2000. Based on the tremendous growth potential in the 40-42 area, Dr. Shaikh opened his own medical clinic here on Dec 11, 2000. Shaikh Medical Clinic is located conveniently at the intersection of 40-42 and is attracting patients from Johston & Wake Counties. Dr. Shaikh has admiting privileges at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Smithfield, and Wake Med, Raleigh.

Dr. Shaikh is a well respected member of the North Carolina Medical Society and the North Carolina Albermarle Society. He is admired among his colleagues for his excellent medical training and acumen. He is well liked by patients for his compassion and good humor.
