BOARD MEETING MINUTES 

November 12, 2002

Meeting was called to order at 6:40pm by Bill Ward, Vice-President. Members in attendance were Cyndi Ward, Lisa Soltow, Doug Soltow, Teresa Sykes, Susan Decker, Ted Connor, Ronnie Mallard, Beverly Mallard and Glory White.  The minutes were approved.   

TREASURER'S REPORT:

All bank accounts were moved to BB&T, along with the CD as voted on and approved last board meeting.  Approximately $950 was made from the Fall Ball concessions.

• Fall Ball
  • Suggestions were made to have more Fall Ball.  This year's Fall Ball wrapped up on 11/2 with Western Park 10U and 12U.

OLD BUSINESS

• None

NEW BUSINESS:

• Questions arose regarding players playing in 16U and 18U in regular season moving down to play in tournament.
• All coaches must fill out application and sign a Code of Ethics.
• All coaches and umpires must have a written background check.  The district will bay for these checks.
• There will be a meeting regarding Board members having first choice of team.
• Board members were asked if they knew anyone willing and able to coach, please have them fill out an application.
• If any board member wants to be certified as an umpire, please let Bill or Cyndi know.
• Patty will be setting a fee for umpires and will let us know at the next district meeting.
• The board voted no to Terry Hall being Co-chair for the tournament due to his inability to attend board meetings.  The board is also taking nominations for chair and co-chair for the tournament.
• Sign up sheets for tournament volunteers will be at the next meeting.
• Questions were asked on whose job it was to call the officers and board members for regular meetings, change in plans, etc..  The Board agreed that it was the job of the Secretary
• The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, December 10th  at 6:30pm at Temple Baptist.
• There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:30pm.
