WELCOME ONE AND ALL....SIT BACK AND TAKE A LOOK AROUND

Hello.....My name is Dorothy or better known as Coolnanny. I would like to know that people are veiwing my pages. I have spent a lot of time working on them and hope that you will take the time to have a look around.

I have been asked to reduce the size of the page...so I did. I have created a "pull down menu" so that you can go to wherever you want without having to read and see everything to get to another page.

I haven't been around very long, but I am having fun learning new things every day. This site is decicated to my family...and I will be updating it very often, so please check back from time to time.

I am married and have been for 30 years as of February 25,1999. We have three grown children, two sons and one daughter. My oldest son is Kenneth born in 1969, then I gave birth to my only daughter, Donna. . She was born just six days shy of Kenneth's 2nd birthday, in 1971. I thought that I now had my family complete, but along came my last son, Kurtiss in 1973. I now had three children under the age of 4 years old. Boy!!! did I ever stay busy.

Kurtiss, my youngest son came by and checked out my page and wanted me to add something that he is very dedicated to. He loves NASCAR and any and everything to do with it. I must admit that I love the races as well. "GO EARNHARDT!!!"

Our children have given us so far, four of the most wonderful grandchildren. Three grandaughters and one grandson. They are the best things in life.

I spend a lot of time with my family and do truly enjoy that precious time. I love to think that I am making fond memories for them of me to last long after I am gone.

I have been a nurse for thirty years and have enjoyed working in the pediatric field (Kid's can say and do the darndest things).

As I said earlier, I have four grandchildren. After three grandaughters,it was nice to finally have a grandson. He is so much like his father when he was a baby.It brings back many fond memories.

Each and everyone of the grandchildren are different in their moods and expressions. My daughters two girls, Emily and Kaitlin, are both independent little ladies. Emily really looks exactly like her mother at the age she is now. It is hard to tell them apart in some of their pictures.(maybe with some help, I can get some old snapshots of Donna on before too long)

Kaitlin, her youngest daughter, has a lot of her father and his family traits in her, but she has her mother's beautiful brown eyes....and they can really get to you sometimes!!! I kept Kaitlin for almost 2 years, and it was really fun watching her grow. It has reminded me so much of her mother..

I was hired for a new position at a Baptist Childrens Home. I absolutely love it there. The staff are all very nice and very helpful to the "new kid on the block". God must have heard my prayers, for he surely provided me with a true blessing when placing me there. The children there are from troubled homes and so far they all seem so very nice. Some of them have just seen too must hate and violence for their young lives. I am the Medical Coordinator/Nurse for the facility and also run the health clinic for minor injuries.

I hope that you will enjoy looking at the pictures on all the different pages.I hope to add more or change them often. I also will be adding little comments and facts about my life and theirs lives. Please come back when you will.

If you have some free time on your hands, come visit me at WBS

There sure are some great people to chat with on that site. Espically at SLP and also on Adult Adoptees.

I have made a lot of friends there and I am sure you would too.

Leave me an email, I would love to hear from ya!!

(Hello to all my buddies in SLP, you know who you all are)

Just wanted to add an item that I just read on the net. It is a new set of commandments for us to use or at least be aware of.They are all so true. I must learn to live by these as well as the "original" ones. I thought that is was so cute and wanted to share it with other folks. I hope that you like it as well..

THE NEW TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. Thou shall not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.

2. Thou shall not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.

3. Thou shall not cross bridges before you come to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.

4. Thou shall face each problem as it comes. You can only handle one at a time anyway.

5. Thou shall not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows.

6. Thou shall not borrow other people's problems. They can better care for them than you can.

7. Thou shall not try to relive yesterday for good or ill, it is forever gone. Concentrate on what is happening in your life and be happy now!

8. Thou shall be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear different ideas from your own. It is hard to learn something new when you are talking, and some people do know more than you do.

9. Thou shall not become "bogged down" by frustration, for 90% of it is rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive action.

10. Thou shall count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.
