Welcome to Lake Norman Shag Club's Web Site. Lake Norman Shag Club was organized in 1983 to promote the ever-popular dance of the south, "The Shag." Our current membership is 150 shaggers. Lake Norman Shag Club meets the 1st Saturday night of each month at Cowans Ford Golf Club. Directions: From I-77 Take Exit 25. Go west on Sam Furr Rd (Highway 73). Go past Cowans Ford Dam, Turn right at the next light (Club Drive) 1 mile on the left.
Address is 761 Club Drive. From Hwy 16. Take Hwy 73 East, go 2 miles, 2nd red light, turn left on Club Drive, 1 mile on the left.

Today is
S.O. S. Fun MondayOur annual FUN MONDAY will be held on September 17, 2012. Each ticket is $10.00. The Mo Jo Blues Band and Jerry Butler are playing this year. My goal is to sell 200 tickets and I need your help! A portion of the proceeds will go to Caring 4 Kids/Future 4 Kids and the SOS Charitable Foundation, Inc. See flyer for more information.
For the second year in a row, Lake Norman Shag Club won, Best Club Vehicle in the 2012 SOS Parade. This year we had two vehicles in the parade; Glenda Brown and Sharon Simpson rode in Tom Ross’s beautiful red Corvette and sisters Kathy Sapp and Wanda Smith rode in Richard Elmore’s late model Thunderbird. The theme was The Year of the Book and Larry Preslar, co-owner of Sparks Productions did the graphic design. Alan Williams again this year provided the banners for the two cars. Lake Norman Shag Club won $250.00 for 1st place. Way to go guys!!!!
