New Shag Location Opens
The Hickory Tavern in Mooresville is now having Shag Nights with some of our very own DJ's! It s located off Exit 36 of I77. From Charlotte go left back over I77 to Morrison Plantation turn left and Hickory Tavern is on the left near Best Buy and HHGregg. Great food and Bar( all hardwood flooring ) we will move tables for dancing, Dj starts at 9:30pm due to dinner. We have daily & monthly specials on drinks and a late nite menu that is 1/2 price. DJs booked are July 11th, Gene Hensley, 18th Clyde Waller, 25th Mike Felts, August 1 Eddie Teeter, 8th Donnie Meadows, 22nd Donnie Meadows, 29th Eddie Teeter, Sept 5, Eddie Teeter, 19th Gene Hensley, 26th Gene Hensley. “Genuine” Gene Hensley will be the DJ for The Oasis Shrine Club and the Society of Tar Heel Shaggers at Mecklenburg Shrine Club. Convenient to Union County, Cabarrus County, Stanley County, Gaston County, Iredell County, Located at 5200 Mecklenburg Shrine Club Drive and Harrisburg Road just 1 mile off I-485 Exit No. 39. (FREE) Beginner Shag lessons from 6:00pm -7:00pm, and Shagging ‘til Midnight. The whole building is a Huge Shag Dance Floor. Cash Bar for Beer, Wine and setups BYOB (Liquor only / Lockers available).

The Statesville Shag Club hosts the Summer Sizzler Party on August 22 at the VFW in Statesville. Tickets are $25 before August 1 and $30 after that date.
Wednesday Beach and Shag Night At "The Landing"
Hello Shaggers!
There is Shagging at "The Landing" every Wednesday night, from 7 to 10, at "The Landing". This is our 6th year. Thank all of you for your support.
Along with their great food, "The Landing" is offering several beer specials. They include Miller High Life and lots of specials on Bud Lite. So, come on out and join us every Wednesday for really good food, beverages of choice (full ABC permit), and non-stop shag and beach music. No cover charge at "The Landing" and there is always SAND on the dance floor. The music will be playing. And your friends will be there. Hope to see you this (and every) Wednesday night at "The Landing" from 7 to 10.

"Fun Monday" TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
Our annual FUN MONDAY is scheduled for September 14 when $11,250 will be given away. Here is a list of the prizes.
First ticket is the BIG WINNER of $7,5000
Second ticket receives an award of $2,000
Third ticket receives $1,000
Fourth ticket is the winner of $500
and the Fifth ticket winner receives $250
The person who sells the winning ticket of $7,500 will receive $100.
The club that sells the winning ticket of $2,000 will receive $100.
The person that sells the most tickets will receive $100.
Please remember to qualify; the person selling the tickets must have their name on the ticket stub. Shag clubs will be awarded prize money for the most ticket sales based on category of membership. To qualify the club must sell a minimum of 100 tickets and the entry must be postmarked by September 1, 2009.
