Once stated the goal, and in the appropriate day, moon phase and colors, say the spell words or chant and while saying them, concentrate on the outcome of the wish as you have envisioned it along the way in which it will be fullfilled. Picture yourself with your desired results. Happy, in love, home, etc. Take a few moments to do this, make a complete picture in your mind.
Then you have to "dress" your candle before burning. The purpose is to establish a link between it and you trough a primary sensorial experience. By physically touching the candle during the dressing procedure, you are charging it with your own personal vibrations. Rub the oil into the candle begining at the top or North and work downwards to the half way point. Always brush in the same direction downwards. Then repeat the process by begining at the bottom or South end and work it up to the middle.
Gather all your energy, thoughts, concentration and picture your desired results as you light your candle(s) )(With what you light the candle(s) is up to you. I have heard use a match and NEVER a lighter and vice versa. I have heard ALWAYS use another candle and then I have heard NEVER do that. I personally use matches myself, but that doesn't mean you have to.)
At this point, you have all the elements of the magick working for you. Stay thinking about this for a few minutes more.
If the candle goes out, it might be telling you to try again some other night, when you can concentrate a little more.
Let the candle burn according to the spell. If you have to put it out, NEVER blow it, use your fingers, a type of candle snuffer, or the flat of the blade of your Bolline instead. If it must be burned completely, you don't have to stay with the candle after the ritual, but make sure that is safe. Take a look at the melted wax from the candle, it might have left you a message.
When you are through, you can throw the remainings away or bury them
outside in the ground. If you have used a "petition card" (the wish written
down on a piece of paper, and burned during the wish making) blow the ashes
to the wind and thank the elements for taking up your wish and fulfilling
what you desire most.
