1992 World Series Participation Pin

The World Series Participation keystone is a small pin awarded to players when they have made it through all district, sectional, state, and regional competition to finish among the final eight teams in the world! What an honor to receive this pin. Players receive a similar, different colored pin for their participation in each of the tournament levels described above. The World Series participation pin is awarded on the field at Lamade Stadium during opening ceremonies. I have two of these pins: the one above from 1992 and one that I got in a trade with a Tom's River player from 1998. Don't worry, I NEVER even think of trading a player for this treasure if they don't have a duplicate. And that goes all the way back to the District level. These pins are most certainly trophies.
