Thoughts for the Day:
Have you ever been as desparate for God's touch as Jairus and the bleeding woman?
Have you ever been too frightened to come to God with a problem?
What is interesting about this story is that there seems to be a huge crowd of people surrounding Jesus...but yet he is able to give his complete attention to these two individuals. Isn't it a great comfort to know that you are not "just another face in the crowd" to Jesus?
As you pray today, make an effort to offer your problems to God in faith. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
Fasting Update:
Another good thing about "not eating out" during Lent...I'm learning my way around the kitchen! Yesterday, I got up early and made some biscuits from scratch. They were delicious. Even THE WIFE was impressed.
I'm also finding that everytime I think about my fast I think about God. And that's the purpose, right? To turn your attention to God's goodness and mercy! To make every aspect of your life more like a prayer! Yes, even when you're making biscuits...
Have a great three-day weekend! Enjoy the NCAAs! Go Heels!
