According to my eye doctor I'm supposed to look away from the computer screen more often to give my eyes a rest from being locked in at the same distance all day.
So what I do is watch people who happen to be walking by the house. This one young fellow walked by the other day wearing those super baggy pants. He wasn't wearing a belt and the pants wouldn't stay up, so he had to keep grabbing his waistband and pulling his pants back up.
I watched him for about a block and started counting how many times he had to pull up his pants after it became apparent it was an often recurring problem. In that one block I watched, he had to pull his pants up about 16 times. That would annoy the heck out of me!
As they say, it takes all kinds of people to make the world go around.
But all is not lost with his generation. On Saturday we got to see a show put on by more teenagers - and Lady Laura and I had a ball. It wasn't really a show but it might as well have been. We laughed and had a good time ... plus we got our car washed.
At a show? you say. Well, I said it wasn't really a show. We took our car to a car wash being given to benefit a college sorority. For five bucks we got to stand back and watch a bunch of girls wash our car while another bunch kept us entertained with their girlish antics.
Like I said, it takes all kinds of people to make the world go around. But these girls made it go around better!
