We've been to these special local attractions and they are highly recommended for Assembly and Council members.

Liberty Jubilee Theater in Liberty, NC.  That is just a twenty minute drive down NC 49 from Burlington.  I'll bet that half of our local Burlington fellows have never been to this fine old theater.

It is time go get off your rocking chair and into the car every Saturday night.  Show starts at 7 p.m. during the Winter and 7:30 in the Summer.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Here are show highlights  See a "Country & Oldies Musical Show" every weekend.  This is their second year at Liberty Jubilee Theater.  The singers and musicians of the "Jubilee Jukebox Band" will entertain you--along with local North Carolina talent.  The Liberty Jubilee Theater  also welcomes new vocalists:

Bill Bennett, who has performed previously at a major Myrtle Beach attraction, as well as with "The Casuals;" and
Jill Clayton, who has performed at various country clubs, including the "Greenbrier Resort" in West Va., and also has performed stand-up comedy.

"Bill and Jill" are talented and fun additions to the Jubilee Jukebox Family, which includes vocalists Rita Smithey, who began performing at Liberty Jubilee last spring; and Billy Ray, who has already become popular with many audience members after a few guest star appearances at Liberty Jubilee.

You get there by getting on NC 49 and heading toward Liberty.  You can't miss it as you enter town.  It is at the first red light.  Parking is free and on the theater property.  If you just have to see a map, just click on this word Liberty map!

You can also safely park on the adjacent streets.   The theater is clean, neat and full of nostalgia.  It will take you back to the days of Saturday 10 cent double-features with your buddies.  This live show is packed with great local artists.  It is also great fun and low cost.  Just $7.  And, if you are on the other side of 65, it's just $6.  Take your grandchildren and children, too.  I do!
