I respect the privacy of
each and every individual who visits JDJ. I do not and will not ever collect
any
personally-identifiable
information about you (that is, your name, address, or email address) unless
you
provide it voluntarily.
JDJ will not give, trade, sell, or otherwise distribute the personal information
you
provide me with. JDJ is
not responsible for the content or privacy policy of the Web sites we may
link to.
Why I ask for Personal Information
When you do provide me with
voluntary personal information, I can use that information to deliver
better quality content to
you. The more I know about what JDJ's visitors like, the better able I
am to
create the kind of content
and such that you want to see. Always keep in mind that this site was made
just for you, the fan. Take
advantage of this and let me know what you want to see here at JDJ.
Getting the Info
JDJ has a great many ways
of gathering personal information about it's visitors. Such fun, interactive
features as surveys, message
boards, penpals, chat rooms, and newsletters, to name just a few, are
all great ways for me to
learn more about you and what you'd want to see featured at JDJ. I do not
ask
for real names or postal
addresses. Instead you can use any alias you wish on JDJ. You need to keep
in mind that whenever you
voluntarily give personal information online, by using message boards and
such, or through email,
it can be collected and used by other people. If you post personal information
online that is accessible
to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from others in return.
So
remember to be wary of what
information you are disclosing to others...you do so at your own risk!
Why I ask for your Email Address
I will use your email address
to notify you if you win a contest that you enter, to email you regular
site
updates, and the like. No
spam mail will ever be sent to your email address from JDJ...ever.
Children
JDJ has no intention of collecting
any personal information (that is, name, address, telephone number, or
email address) from visitors
under thirteen years of age. If a child has provided JDJ with personal
information, that child's
parent or guardian should contact me at the email address listed at the
bottom
of this statement if they
would like this information deleted from JDJ. I will use reasonable efforts
to
delete the child's information
from my existing files.
