jdj's site history

i'm sure you've read other site's history before...so you know the drill. hopefully i won't bore you to death
with this! well, here i go...if you are wondering about anything else, just let me know and i'll add it here...

bon voy-who???
i first found out about the guys from a girl who signed
up to my next of kin onelist. when introducing herself, she
mentioned the bon voyager official website, simply saying
that they were great guys and that everyone should check
out the site if they get a chance. at that point in time, the
onelist was just starting so not many people received the
message, but i did! i decided to visit and after looking
around, decided this band was one to look into. the more
i've found out about this trio of brothers, the more i've been
convinced that this band should be on my top two list of
favorite groups...sure enough, they've unknowingly made
their way to a tie for #1 favorite in my book...and there
aren't any signs of them leaving that spot anytime in the
near (or far, for that matter) future. :)

a name...what kind of name?
i have two main goals in my life...one, to minor in journalism,
and two, to major in html design. both of these are fields i
have been interested in since i was only three or four. at the
current time i owned a site that i didn't favor much. it was on
a european band called next of kin...the band was great, but
i just didn't enjoy owning my site...the #1 most important
thing. i then decided it was time to make a new site, one that
i would enjoy. while thinking of an idea for a new site,
bon voyager crossed my mind. and that was that, i
decided to create a bon voyager fansite. but then
there was the incredibly difficult task of coming up with a
name for the site. as any of my friends will tell you, i have
a gift for coming up with unusual titles as well as mixing
letters around...but this one had me stumped. finally, after
giving up on making a word out of letters, i settled for jdj.
the first letter of each of the boys' names. no particular order
was intended, but jdj just sounded better than any of the
other combinations i had come up with.

finally a site...and another blue layout
with jdj finally complete and the site's first layout designed
and finished, i was ready to open up jdj for public viewing.
as with most (or, all, actually) of my other sites, jdj's main
color is blue. i know this must be getting very annoying to
everyone...but blue just happens to be my favorite color
and i have a habit of over using it on my sites! i'll see about
changing the colors in the next up coming versions...
