I had tossed and turned for hours, trying to sleep. Jerry (my husband at the time)
and I had been arguing earlier, but that doesn't cause me to lose sleep anymore.
It was just a restless night, and I knew he would sleep on the couch.
Jerry had come through the bedroom, went to the bathroom, and returned to the living room.
I watched him in silence, pondering our argument and wondering what in the hell his problem was.
As the bedroom door shut, I closed my eyes. The air conditioner thermostat kicked on
and I enjoyed the soft hum and cool air for a moment. Then it happened........

As I lay still and covered, I felt the distinct sensation of someone crawling up in the bed with me.
From the bottom of the bed, one hand and knee at a time. I lay there with my eyes still shut,
afraid to open them, feeling this "thing" crawl into the bed, closer and closer.
The covers were pulling with each of its movements. It stopped for a moment.....
I thought it might be gone, but then it started moving the rest of the way up the bed,
closer it came till I realized, " My God! Its right beside me! ". My adrenaline was rushing.
I felt myself panicking. This was no dream. I was completely awake.
I had to see it. Was it a Demon of some sort? If I open my eyes, would a grotesques creature be waiting there....
ready to devour my head?! Or maybe some ghostly apparition. God!! What was beside me? :(

.............I just barely opened my eyes ... not even moving my head
.... Nothing! Thank God! But it was there. It had just crawled up in the bed with me
and I was Not going to move. Whatever the hell it was ...it could just stay there.
Far be it for me to screw around with something I couldn't even see,
and besides.... I was frozen with fear! As I lay there thinking I remembered something.
It was the same thing...yes I remember it now.
The same thing had happened before but I thought I was dreaming.
You know.... that half dream like state between dreams...

I had felt something crawl into bed with me.
I remember waking up and thinking how real it had seemed.
As I lay there with my eyes open, pondering the experience,
I remembered that just last week something weird had happened.....
Jerry had got in bed. Being asleep, it hardly stirred me as I noticed him crawl into bed.
Later, maybe an hour or so, the sound of him in the bathroom ,
taking a leek, woke me lightly.... Then he went into the living room.
I wondered why he was going to sleep on the couch, so I got up to find out.
Half delirious I staggered into the kitchen....
