Audrey was silent the whole way back to her place. She just stared out the window as JC drove down the highway.
"Why aren't you talking to me?" No answer. "Come on talk to me. What did I do to get you mad at me?"
"What did you do?"
"Knew I'd get you talking."
"That's not funny."
"I'm sorry, what's wrong?"
"You don't know?"
"It would be nice to be informed since I do not know."
"I can't believe you." She turned to look out the window again. He decided to leave it at that. They would talk about it when they got back. They finally reached her place and as soon as they walked in Audrey headed for her room. JC followed only to have the door slammed in his face. He banged on the door.
"Let me in!" She opened the door and stuck her head out.
"No!" She then quickly closed it. He banged on the door again.
"Let me in!"
"No!" She did the same.
"Let me in!" He banged with both hands this time and as she opened he stuck his head in her room and she slammed the door on it. "Ow." He rubbed his head.
"I said no and I mean no." He walked in as she walked away from the door.
"Now, will you please let me know what I did?"
"If you don't know, I'm not going to tell you."
"Can I guess?"
"No you can not." She grabbed a pillow and a blanket from off the bed.
"Now what are you doing that for?"
"You can guess here." She shoved it in his stomach and pushed him out the door. After closing the door she reopened to throw a teddy bear at him.
"Don't I even get a goodnight kiss?"

-*-*-*-*-

Audrey woke up to the sound of a crash on the floor in her living room. She walked out and noticed JC directing traffic while a bunch of overweight men carried around boxes.
"What are you doing and what are you wearing?"
"These are my work clothes." He referred to his white t-shirt, his overalls, and his backwards hat.
"You're not even doing any work, and what work are they doing?"
"They're moving your stuff."
"They're moving it where?"
"Over to Joey's."
"What?"
"If you're going to get married, you have to live together. The others are over there making room for ya."
"He's letting you do this?"
"Actually, he doesn't know. So shhh. Are you done with your bedroom?"
"I guess for now."
"Hey Butch! You can get the bedroom now!" A fat man who was cleaning the wax out of his ears walked back into her room. "And ah Butch, be extra careful, those things are delicate." He turned to her. "Taking precautions."
"Not very good ones, look they broke my glockenspiel." She noticed the broken clock on the floor.
"So that what that thing was."
"That thing, has been in my family for generation. It's been passed down ever since the Duke of Windsor."
"I thought that was just a dumb old clock."
"It was very valuable, a family heirloom, and some guy with frito breath comes in and smashes in seconds."
"Hey, his name is Fred, and it isn't fritos it's fun-yuns."
"I want all these gross, disgusting, repulsive men out of my apartment now!"
"Actually, it's not your's anymore."
"What does that mean?"
"I rented it to this nice Oregon couple."
"You did all of this in one night."
"Right after you threw me out of your room, I got to work."
"And you wonder why I'm mad at you?"
"Yeah I'm still kinda curious by the way."
"That's it!" She grabbed her coat and headed for the door.

-*-*-*-*-

Audrey walked into Joey's place there, 'the guys' were moving all of Joey's stuff around.
"Justin your plan sucks!"
"Don't mock the plan, cute jammies." She looked down at her cloud pants and bunny slippers.
"I know that, why, how could I change with Butch in my room?"
"Butch?"
"He was to move my room over here. I woke up this morning to the sound of a smash, which I later found out it was my glockenspeil. Then there's at least 7 men walking around my apartment carrying boxes. There's JC standing over in the corner guiding these men all through out the place in his overalls."
"He doesn't have any overalls."
"He bought them just for this occasion, I think he's a little too excited about moving day. Then I come to find out that I'm moving over here, and why am I moving over here?"
"Ummm..."
"Cause you're making me get married. And to who? Not you, not even someone I can stand, but the very person who makes my skin crawl."
"Well, I hear what you're saying and I'm gonna have to stick by my plan. Here." He handed her a stack of papers.
"What's this?"
"That is your script and schedule."
"My what?"
"Rehearsal is at 3 don't be late."
"Rehearsal, and script, don't tell me there's a song too."
"Page 23."
"There 23 pages in this thing?"
"Actually that's just intermission, he had a lot of free time."
"I'm not going by any script, I just want to do it and get it over with."
"Well, you're gonna have to take that up with him, but if I were you I'd start memorizing my lines, you got a lot."
"Oh grand."
"I have a part too."
"Really, what are you?"
"Witness number two."
"I'm witness number one!" Chris shouted.
"What are you?" She asked referring to Lance.
"Your arch enemy."
"You?"
"Yeah me, I can be rough, check this out. 'You British chippy'."
"Absolutely stellar." She took their scripts and threw them in the trash.
"What are you doing?"
"We're not going by any scripts, it's just going to happen naturally."
"But what about the song we were gonna perform it."
"Where were you gonna perform it?"
"At the wedding."
"I thought we were just going down to city hall."
"No it's gotta be real, cause no one who was just getting deported would have an expensive real wedding."
"Fine, but it makes me mad that my wedding, the one I've been planning ever since I was a little girl is going to be ruined cause I'm marrying..."
"What is going on here!?" Joey walked out from his room.
"You."
"Huh?"
"Nothing."
"We're moving her in."
"Why?"
"So you can live together before you get married." Joey looked at her.
"Don't look at me, I just found out about this, this morning also."
"I guess you can stay in the guest room."
"No!" Justin stood up. "You must sleep in the same bed."
"Why?"
"It's more natural that way and plus you'll learn how each other sleeps."
"OK, but one foot on the floor." She said.
"Each." He added.
"Hey where do you want all this stuff?!" JC shouted as he walked in the room heading a line of movers.
"I don't know just put it anywhere, we can unload it later."
"OK, bring it in boys!" They began to place boxes at random places in the apartment. After 3 hours had passed they had everything in. "I guess I'll let you start unpacking." JC said by the door.
"I guess." She looked away and he puckered his lips for a goodbye kiss. She turned back to him to notice the expression on his face. "No way, I hate you." His face quickly loosened.
"Hey, why do you hate me?"
"You really don't have a clue do you?"
"After everything I've done for you, no."
"Just get out of my place." She pushed him out the door. Joey was watching tv when she walked across the room and sat down in front of her box. She was rumanging through her boxes when she got annoyed. "Do you mind turning that down?"
"Why it's not bothering you?"
"How do you know if it's bothering me or not?"
"Well is it?"
"Yes, you're five feet away from the bloody thing you don't need it so loud. Turn it down!"
"Yes, mother." She pulled out a couple of things from her box and started placing them throughout the place. "Excuse me, what are you doing?"
"I'm decorating it's needs a touch of me."
"You are not putting flowers and poppuri pots around my place."
"It's not your place anymore now is it? It's ours."
"Don't even use that."
"Oh I don't care watch the tv as loud as you want." She moved on to the bigger boxes. She started to undo the heavier stuff, but was having troubles.
"Do you need some help?"
"No, no I can manage on my own."
"Are you sure? Cause you could fall and break something of mine."
"Blast it all! When I say I don't need your help, I don't need your help." She stumbled around and ran into something.
"Look what you did! Did you hurt anything?"
"No, I think I'm all right."
"My glockenspiel!" He gasped.
"You have a glockenspiel?"
"Did have."
"Why would you, of all people, have one?"
"It's a family hierlome, it's very valuable." He started mending his glockenspiel.
"Now you're starting to scare me, you care about your glockenspiel."
"Who wouldn't?" She walked over at sat down on the couch.
"JC wouldn't."
"Uh-oh, now I opened a wound and I'm gonna have to hear about it."
"You don't have to, if you don't want to." She paused for dramatic effect. "It all started two nights ago. When he first got back. He wouldn't let me open my mail." He slowly walked and sat down next to her. "All he could think about was hitting the sack together, if you know what I mean."
"I know what you mean."
"He expects me to drop everything, and not just spend time with him, but with the whole blooming lot of you."
"I can understand where you're coming from."
"You can?"
"Yeah, the last thing I wanted to do when I got back was to spend time with you."
"The last thing? What was the first thing?"
"First thing? Watch tv on my couch."
"Really? I don't believe you."
"Oh please, get your mind out of the gutter."
"I take off...." She looked at him.
"What?"
"Nothing."
"No, what?"
"I just realized how much I actually say that."
"Oh, a lot."
"I'm going to bed."
"OK, I'll be in, in a second." She got up and went back to his room as he flipped through the channels.
