My Writings at Wake Forest
|
In May of 2000, I graduated from Wake Forest University. It's a great school, and although it does have its flaws, I enjoyed my time there. My four years at Wake were packed full of interesting experiences, including several that may be of interest to those of you visiting this site. When I get the chance, I'll have to upload the Flash page I made that deals with a big controversy about same-sex unions at Wake while I was there. I'd also like to write about some of my other experiences at Wake, where I was active in both InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and the campus Gay-Straight Student Alliance. (Yes, a lot of people thought that was weird!) Right now, I'd like to share with you two essays that I wrote about my faith and orientation while I was at Wake Forest. The first one is a "photo essay" (yes, there's a picture to go with it) that was published and circulated as part of a diversity project. The second one is an oration I had the opportunity to give during graduation weekend. Both of these had great responses. I hope this will give some of you an idea about how to reach your campus or community with the truth, if at some point you are led to do so. |
