Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Nick watched Brian and Elyse kissing from the window. He pulled the curtain closed and plopped down on the sofa, picking up the remote control. 'I wish that was me with Elyse. She's so perfect. She's beautiful, funny, sweet, and athletic...' Nick's thoughts were interupted by Brian comming back inside.
Brian sighed. "I love her so much."
Nick couldn't think of what to say. "I'm happy for you."
"What about you and Tara?" asked Brian.
"She's really nice, but I don't think I like her as much as she likes me," said Nick.
"Oh. Well, don't worry Frack, you'll find someone soon enough."
"Yeah, I hope so."

A.J. and Miki were having a great time. They found out they had so much in common. They had lunch at a small italian resteraunt and then they went to see a movie. They decided on "She's All That."
After they had settled in their seats with their candy and drinks, A.J. put his arm around her. Miki looked up at A.J. and smiled. They leaned together and kissed. When the movie started they sat back and watched.
When the movie was over, they got up and walked out holding hands.
"I haven't had a serious girlfriend in a long time," said A.J. "The last serious girlfriend I had..." He trailed off.
"What?" she asked.
"I thought I had really fallen in love... but she dumped me for some guy..."
"Oh, I'm sorry," said Miki.
"Its okay," said A.J.
"How about we change the subject."
"That sounds like a good idea," said A.J. He smiled at Miki.
'He has the sweetest smile I've ever seen,' thought Miki.
A.J. and Miki got in his car and drove to a nearby empty park. They got out of the car and walked hand in hand over to a creek and sat down in the shade under the tree. "Its beautiful here," said Miki.
"Not as beautiful as you," said A.J. in a quiet voice, just loud enough for Miki and himself to hear.
Miki smiled. "I Love You."
A.J. held Miki around the waist and they kissed. When they finnished they stood up and walked over to the swings. Miki sat down and A.J. pushed her. "I haven't been on a swing in a long time," said Miki.
A.J. sat in the swing next to her. "Neither have I."
They sat swinging not talking for a minute. Then A.J. started to sing 'Lay Down Beside Me.' Miki stared at his beautiful features. After he finnished they stood up. A.J. held her around the waist. "That was beautiful," said Miki.
He smiled. "Thanks."
Miki layed her head on A.J.'s chest. They stood there holding each other until a car pulled up. They got back in the car.
"What do you want to do now?" asked A.J., not wanting the day to be over yet.
"I don't know," she said.
"Lets go to my place."
"Okay."
A.J. started up the car and drove to his house.
When they got there A.J. showed Miki around. "This is the living room, there's the kitchen, help yourself to anything in there. The bathroom and my bedroom... and that's about it."
"Everythings really neat," said Miki.
"Well, its usually not this neat... I just went on a cleaning spree recently."
A.J. and Miki sat down on the sofa. A.J. turned on the tv and flipped through the pay per view channels.
"Is 'Patch Adams' okay?" asked A.J.
"Yeah, I didn't get a chance to see that movie when it first came out."
"Okay, cool." A.J. ordered the movie, then he got up and popped some popcorn while the credits were on.
They took off their shoes and snuggled together on the couch. They fell asleep before the movie was over.

A.J. woke up and looked down at Miki sleeping peacefully. The movie was over and previews were on. He grabbed the remote and turned off the tv. Miki stirred and opened her eyes.
"Did I fall asleep?" she yawned.
"Yeah, we both did," said A.J. "Lets go in my room."
Miki got up and followed A.J. to his bedroom. "I don't have anything to sleep in," said Miki.
"You can borrow some of my clothes." A.J. got a pair of boxers and a t-shirt out of his closet and gave them to Miki.
"Thanks," she said.
She went in the bathroom and changed. When she came out A.J. was laying in bed. He had changed into just his boxers. "My clothes look better on you than they do me," said A.J.
Miki smiled and got under the covers next to him. They layed facing each other. A.J. put his arm around her waist and they fell asleep that way.

Nick woke up to the phone ringing. He looked at his watch. It was 12:00, he didn't realize he had slept that long. Brian was nowhere in sight, so Nick got up and picked up the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey Nicky!"
"Kate? How are you?"
"I'm fine." Kate was Brian and Nick's best friend. They had met a few years back when the guys were just getting started in their music career. She had watched them grow, and since she lived in North Carolina, she rarely got a chance to talk to them.
"I'm in Florida visiting my grandparents for the week."
"Really? Cool," said Nick.
"Yeah, I was hoping you guys werent busy and maybe we could do something."
"We have the rest of this month off."
Just then Brian walked in the room. He was rubbing his eyes like he just woke up and his hair was a mess.
"Who's on the phone?"
"Its Kate, she's in Florida for the week. Do you wanna talk to her?"
Brians eyes lit up. "Yeah!"
"Hey Kate, Brian wants to talk to you," said Nick
"Okay."
Nick handed the phone to Brian. "Hey Kate! How ya doin'?"
"I'm going great."
"Guess what?"
"What?" said Kate.
"I just met the greatest girl, her name is Elyse."
"Good for you!"
"Thanks, hey maybe all four of us can hang out today."
"That sounds like a great Idea," said Kate.
"Okay, well, here's Nick."
"Bye."
"Bye."
Brian handed Nick back the phone and went in his room to get dressed.
"So, have you met anyone yet?" asked Kate.
"No, I still haven't found the right girl yet," said Nick. "What about you?"
"Me neither."
"Oh well. So what should we do today?"
"Lets get lunch somewhere and then we can figure it out after."
"Okay, how about you meet us at our place in an hour."
"That sounds great," said Kate. "See ya then."
"Bye."
"Bye."
Nick hung up the phone. "Hey Brian!"
"What?" replied Brian from the other room.
"Kate will be here in an hour."
"Okay."
Nick was so happy, he hadn't seen Kate in almost a year. He was surprized that Kate didn't have a boyfriend yet. She was a sweet girl, with the greatest personality and the best sense of humor. He got in the shower and got ready to see Kate.

When A.J. woke up they were still in the same position. He looked down at Miki, she looked like an Angel. He glanced at the clock. It was almost 1:00 pm. He kissed Miki on the forehead. After a moment she yawned and opened her eyes.
The first thing Miki saw when she opened her eyes was A.J. 'What a great thing to wake up to,' she thought.
"Good morning babe," said A.J.
"Good morning."
A.J. started to kiss Miki but she pulled back. A.J. was confused. "What?" he asked, afraid he had done something wrong.
"Not until I brush my teeth."
A.J. laughed inside. "Oh."
"Oh no, I don't have a toothbrush."
"That's okay, I've got an extra new one in the cabinet."
"Great," said Miki.
They brushed their teeth and plopped back down on the bed. "Now?" he asked.
"Yes," she said smiling.
A.J. moved closer and they kissed. When they were through, they were both out of breath. A.J. ran his finger along Miki's stomach in a swirl. She couldn't help but giggle. A.J. let Miki pull his shirt off. "Talk about a six pack," said Miki grinning.
A.J. smiled and let his hands creep up the back of her shirt. When she didn't refuse, he undid the buckle and slid it off, dropping it on the floor.
