BSB Superher's
BSB Superheros/Superstars
By Shawn and Liz
Welcome to Part 1 of BSB Superstars/Superheroes. Since the boys debut in 1995, they've been keeping a secret from their fans, a secret that could destroy them forever if found out by anyone. It's such a big secret
that they can't even tell their families that they are... superheroes with special powers. What special powers? Well, let us tell you.
First, there's Nick. This blonde-babe can make anyone melt with those baby blues of his, literally. Also, he has the ability to fly and see the future, which comes in handy when trying to find bad guys or if he has a date planned for the upcoming weekend. Plus he has powers he hasn't even discovered yet, like x-ray vision.
Brian's powers are a bit more complicated. First of all, this cutie has a killer (and we do mean killer) sense of humor. Anyone exposed to it for more than a minute will literally die from laughing so hard. This power comes in handy when faced with a villain who is heavily armed, because if you moved anything besides your mouth, your life would be over. Also, he didn't really have heart surgery. What happened was
that a device was inserted into his chest that when provoked, will cause him to grow bigger than his bodyguards, who are basically the size of elephants. Along with this size comes huge muscles, so Brian could pick up and throw a jumbo jet if he wanted to. Last but not least, Brian has the ability to shoot lasers out of his eyes. He could take out a whole city! And you thought his eyes were only gorgeous.
Next, we move onto Kevin. This guy certainly has a few tricks up his sleeve. He has more than tricks- try muscles made of iron. The reason why you can't tell is because they're painted the same color of his
skin. You hit those, talk about breaking your knuckles.
Ever wonder why Kevin's eyebrows were so bushy? Well, those bushy brows contain a highly powerful laser that can fry the baddest of bad guys. And that whole appendix thing? Completely untrue. Actually when that happened in Germany, he really went in to get a radar put in that can locate bad guys. And we thought those tight abs were just for show.
With AJ's funky looks, come funky powers. Ah, yes, our dear AJ has some interesting ones. Let's start with the hair. It's radioactive. The amount of radiation depends on what color it is. When it's red, bad
guys beware! Onto his shades. Everyone wonders why he wears them. What is he hiding? We'll tell you.
AJ has the most penetrating stare in the universe. We've all seen glimpses of it and we all think it's sexy. But in reality he can crumble concrete and bend anyone's will just by looking at them! Now for the tattoos. They're cool, but we bet you didn't know that under each one lies a different type of weapon. If you look
closely at the tattoos, you will be able to tell what kind of weapon it is. We would tell you, but hey, we can't give everything away!
Howie D. also has some cool powers. You sure wouldn't know it to look at him, but he could kick some villain butt in a fair fight (but what villain fights fair?). First of all, everyone knows he has a twitch in his
eye. But it's not just a nervous tick. What he's really doing is sending out secret messages in Morse Code. How about that one eye that's bigger than the other at times? If Howie's in a fight, he can make that one eye bulge out really far and knock people out. His hair- that greasy troll hair. He can actually sweep it around and pick people up with it! And lastly, one of the most useful powers: Howie has the uncanny ability
to impersonate a woman. He already sounds like one. Who's going to suspect a woman? Well, lots of people, but that's beside the point. The point is, no one suspects a Howie woman. Pretty cool, right?
Moving on, you might be wondering how we know all of this. Well, we can't tell you because that would be wrong and the BSB would use one of their many lethal weapons to kill us. But don't worry. We'll tell
you later.
Right now, we've gotta describe their hideout. This place is the hideout of hideouts, and the funny thing about it is that it's so obvious, nobody really notices! It's in downtown Orlando, and it's in a fairly modern
building, which is why so many villains miss it. You enter through glass panel doors and you're in this hall that creates an optical illusion
that makes you think it's longer than it really is. Plus the walls and the door to the secret lair look identical, so you can't tell how to get in, but after searching the walls a few times you figure it out.
When you finally manage to enter, there's a huge room that takes up the entire length and width of the building. It's painted a soft slate gray with black marble floors. Each boy has his own section to decorate anyway he pleases. At the far end is all the technical equipment the guys need to keep track of all the bad villains.
Let's start with what AJ has in his section. This guy has a love of theater, so he's got pics of the Phantom of the Opera up on the walls. He also has a picture of his mom and one of him and one of him and the boys in their superhero costumes (we'll talk about those later).
Also in AJ's section, there is a portal that will let him see certain things that could happen if he does a certain thing, or doesn't do something, etc.
He has a desk with a McDonald's dispenser on it and a mini pool table.
Next comes Nick's section. It's very creative. But he's a creative person, so why wouldn't it be? Anyways, Nick's relentless love for Nintendo really shows. The walls are covered in drawings of different Nintendo game characters, a majority of them Cloud Stife from Final Fantasy 7, Nick's favorite game. Of course, there's also pics of his family. Also, there's a device that helps Nick keep track of the
future- a magic mirror, which helps to sort out confusing events that are unclear to our dear Nicky. Oh yeah, to keep up his talent, he also has a drum set in the corner.
Now onto our eyebrow-laser shooting, iron man, Kevin. This serious stud is known to go a little crazy with decorations, no matter how simple they are. First, there's a grand piano on one side (being the oldest, he
gets the largest section) so he can work on songs while he's not chasing bad guys. Also, there's a machine that updates his laser powers, so they can be deadly every time.
Now onto our other Kentucky-born babe, Brian. This section definitely shows off his love for b-ball. He has posters of famous athletes all over the walls (b-ball stars of course). He has a hoop hung on one wall too, so he can practice shooting whenever he's not on the lookout for villains. Other things he has on the walls are pics of his dog, Tyke (the group superhero mascot) and pics of his family. Something else in
Brian's section is a virtual basketball net. You control the ball with your eyes to get it in the hoop. Nick designed it and Brian loves it. It helps him strengthen his laser shooting eyes.
Now we come to Howie D. His section is pretty basic, but it does have a few interesting features. One of which would be all the Treasure Trolls(Remember those short dolls with freaky hair and jewels in their stomachs?). Also, the room is decorated in various shades of pink and purple. Since Howie has a love for guitars, he has a special one that writes a song if you pluck a single string. He got it when he fought Guitar Gus, one of the wussier villains.
Alright, new topic. If you're going to be a superhero and save the world, you have to look good, right? All superheroes have costumes and our boys are no exception. Each one of them designed his own costume, so you know they're gonna be dope.
We'll start with AJ's costume. The colors are purple and yellow of course. They really stand out, which is what he likes. It's made of Spandex and it really shows off his tight abs. There are also holes in
the suit where his tatoos are, so AJ can gain easy access to the weapons underneath them. He also has little bone silhouettes running up the arms. He wears boots, which are either black or dark purple,
depending on the light. And let's not forget his mask, which goes across his eyes and down the sides of his face. Don't worry, it has built-in shades. It , too is dark purple/black. His cape is long, satiny, and purple. A theater mask is emblazoned on it.
Next comes Kevin's costume, which is quite colorful and interesting. His costume has every color of the rainbow, from mask to feet. We know, it seems weird for serious Kevin to be wild and "bright" with his costume, but it's about time he lived on the edge. Kevin's suit isn't tight pants wise but he does have a sleeveless muscle shirt so those iron arms and radar abs can be shown off and work at the same time. He's got black combat-type boots and his mask covers his entire face with holes so
his laser eyebrows can work. Despite his crazy outfit, Kevy-Kev does not and absolutely refuses to wear a cape, much to many villains disappointment.
Howie D. comes next, trolls and all. His outfit mainly comes from his section of the hideout though there are some slight variations. For one thing, it's not pink and purple, it's pink and orange. Yeah, bright. There are little jewels all over it, so he sparkles when he walks. He wears platform boots and his cape is really unique. It has guitar strings on it that you can actually play a song with! Howie is usually the guy that stands out the most when he's in costume. But it's not the suit, it's the mask. It covers the top half of his head. The top has troll hair. Yep, built in, bright orange, sticking up troll hair. Now tell us that's not an attention getter!
Okay, onto Brian. His costume is pretty unique. But why wouldn't it be? Okay, we figure you're dying to know, so we'll get right to the
point, err... out fit. Ready? B-rok's costume looks like a basketball uniform! Jersey, shorts, sneaks, and all. It's blue and silver (except for his shoes which are blue and black) and has the number 5 on it for the 5
BSBer's. And to hide his identity, he's got a mask that looks like a blue and silver basketball. Now if that isn't unique, we don't know what is, other than Howie's troll hair mask, but that's a scary unique!
Okay, we saved the best for last-Nick's up next. Remember the drawings that were in his room in the US version of "I'll Never Break Your Heart"? Well, Nick's costume looks like that, only it's green. Very
mechanical looking (think Robo-Cop and if you still can't figure it out, come up with your own idea). And it has weapons in it.. All Nick has to do is press a button on the arm and a laser rises out of the sleeve. He doesn't use it that much though, only when Howie needs protection. But here's the different thing, Nick doesn't have a mask. He does, however, have a green bandanna thing around his head, going under his hair and
around his forehead, just above his eyes.
Part 2: The Villains
In this part, we thought we'd tell you about some of the villains the BSB fight. We're only gonna tell you five of the major ones, which you
might already know of since they are kinda big at the moment. Yes, we mean the BSB wannabes, 'N Sync.
They have hidden powers too, but they use them for evil things, like trying to destroy the BSB for example, instead of good. To kick off the list of villains, we start with Joey. This tub of lard has the ability to crush people if they get in his way when he sits
down. Plus he's got other powers, like heat sensors in his eyes and the ability to freeze people with his breath, like Superman. Joey's costume even looks like Superman's, except it has a J on the cape and the front of the outfit. Talk about a fat wannabe.
Albino boy Lance comes next. He has the girlie powers of the group (which means he usually fights Howie). For one, watch out if he gets a hold of you, cause he'll give you a terrible, horrible make-over (he can't stand it if you're better looking than he is)! An annoying high-pitched giggle is another of Lance's powers that can make you deaf if you're forced to listen to it for very long. Now onto his "darling" costume. Let's start with the shoes. They're those black, adorable baby doll shoes, complete with those pure white tights that
all rag baby dolls wear. A puffy, short-sleeved, frilly pink baby doll dress comes next. It really highlights Lance's cheekbones. To complete the ensemble is a cute blonde goldilocks wig that's got pretty pink
ribbons in it. Isn't that just adorable?
Onto Justin. This guy's powers can make him pretty evil. Unfortunately, he's also cute (bad combination!). Hidden inside his tightly curled hair are miniature machine guns. When he fires them all at once, you'd
think his head was exploding! He also has a shield that can block out radiation (so much for AJ's hair). Also, with his "Homey G-dawg" personality, he can fool anybody into thinking he's from the ghetto (this is not meant to be racist in any way, shape, or form.)
Here we have Chris. Since he's the oldest, Kevin is the one he most often fights with. To start, we've gotta mention those horrendous dreads. The power that lies within those are, well, snakes (think Greek mythology, Medusa). When threatened, they appear and try to bite Chris's opponent. Also, the members of 'N Sync don't call him Psycho for nothing! Chris loves to dress up as the guy from the Scream movies and run around scaring people, so if you see him coming, run because he may really want to kill you (just kidding!)!
Alright, now for our last 'N Syncer, JC. He's got psychic powers. As in, he does more fighting with his mind. He likes to sleep a lot. What's wrong with that, you say? You poor misguided people. When JC sleeps, he is able to conjure up monsters that go attack the BSB in
real life. All while he's sleeping! Also, he's got grenades hidden in his stomach. They may look like a 6-pack at times but don't be fooled! They are bombs waiting to happen. Now for his most dangerous power of
all. If he wanted to, he could go back in time. Why is that so dangerous? just think about it. He could change things around so that any one of our superhero hotties were never born. So why hasn't he done it? Fortunately, he doesn't know that he has this power. Let's hope he never figures out!
That's 5 of the major villains. There are 2 more that we'll tell you about later. Sorry if this part offended anyone. We're only revealing what needs to be revealed.
Part 3: Aaron
Aaron is turning out to be like his older brother. Like Nick, Aaron's a singer (and a darn good one at that) and he also has superhero powers. Since he's so young, Aaron is just beginning to learn how to use his powers properly. For the past 9 years, he used them for fun things to amaze his friends. Then when he turned 10, he could finally use his powers for good things, like helping his Backstreet brothers fight evil villains and save the world.
Okay, so what powers does he have? you ask? Well, for one, Aaron has animal power. He can turn himself into whatever animal he chooses. Plus, this cutie has one of those literally blinding smiles. Being a
twin is an added bonus. If Angel is with or nearby Aaron, his powers grow stronger. Aaron can become invisible, which really helps the BSB cause they can send Aaron to spy on the villains. And lastly, he can
read minds, so if you have a secret-watch out! This sweetie might let himself know all about it.
Aaron's costume is pretty normal, considering his way powers. Actually, very normal. His costume looks like normal street clothes. But they're really not for everyday wear. He can put them on whenever a dangerous
situation comes up with a snap of his fingers. The shirt is baggy (with a special storage spaces for killer squirt guns) and is light blue in color. Aaron's jeans are also baggy, once again to conceal weapons. He
can pump up his shoes in such a way that they enable him to make 100ft. leaps in case he ever needs to make a quick getaway. And lastly his hat.
It's a white Nike baseball cap. When he wears it, it helps him read peoples minds more clearly, therefore enhancing his psychic abilities. Oh, and when Angel's with him, the whole costume radiates enough energy
to form a force field around Aaron. Gee, kinda interesting, don'tcha think?
One more thing about Aaron. He knows Nick's secret powers, the ones he hasn't discovered yet. See, Aaron is partly the reason why we know the Boys' secret. But, moving on, Aaron says that Nick has x-ray vision, a
blinding smile (hey, they are related), and lots of Nintendo power, meaning whenever Nick plays a game that involves role-playing, he automatically absorbs the same powers as his game character. Ain't that cool (bet ya thought we were gonna say cute, didn't ya?)?
Part 4: Who Are We?
Okay, we've made you suffer long enough. We're gonna tell you who we are, how we know, and whatever else we feel like telling ya. We've been following the Boys since their debut in '95. For awhile, we had no reason to suspect them, cause if they ever used their powers, it was usually in Europe. But when the trouble started over here, villains taking over, that's when we began to discover their secret identity.
But first, you've gotta know ours. See, by day (and night sometimes) we're normal human girls who are really tight with the BSB. We get to go work with them on tour and everything. but for some bizarre reason, everywhere they've gone, the two most powerful villains in the
world have been there also, arriving about the same time as the BSB and leaving about the same time they do. Do you have an idea about who we are now?
First, you gotta get to know all about me, Shawna. In human form, I have brown-blonde hair half way down my back, blue eyes, and love doing things that any other teenager would. In the BSB, I get along most with Nick. Me and him are best friends, but when he ticks me
off... well, it ain't pretty. So onto my powers. They really aren't that glorious, but they're better than most of BSB's. I have the power of fire, so it's mainly
my fault for all the LA fires. Sorry, Nick beat me at Nintendo. I was kinda mad. Then there's my psychic abilities. Usually I use those for mind control, but I can also read people's minds. Probably my favorite power, is the power of animals, whether they are real or
mythological. I use that one a lot, especially after "Godzilla" came out, though that movie sucked. Another cool power that I possess is called blinking. That means that I can move as fast as you blink,
which comes in handy when a laser or a weapon is pointed in my direction. Lastly, I have a power shield which keeps me safe and it keeps my powers from being taken by another villain or one of the Boys. Also, it keeps my powers in check and under control.
Now my costume that I'd wear everyday if I could, but then the Boys would know who I am, so I can't. Anyway, it's time to describe it. First is a pair of baggy black cargo pants with a drawstring waist. I love these because they hang around my hip bones and are extremely
comfortable. Next is my shirt. It's a tight,lycra-type white shirt with 3/4 sleeves, and a cropped waist. I wear a black fleece vest (think Old Navy Performance Fleece) over it. Plus, on my feet are a pair of black Sketchers. To hide my true identity from the BSB, I
wear a black fisherman's hat with a white band around it, pulled low enough to shade my eyes, with my hair hanging out from underneath it. My only accessory that I wear is a silver unicorn pendant that is the
key to all my powers. If I'm not wearing that, I'm pretty much defenseless, so I watch it very closely when we go to battle.
Now for Liz's turn. She has powers that are out of this world! Right Liz?
Quite right, my dear Shawna. But I'll get to those in a minute. First, some quick info on me. When I'm not out being a villainess, I look pretty normal. I have brown hair a little past my shoulder that has either red or blonde highlights, depending on the season and green
eyes. My favorite (ordinarily) thing to do is go shopping. I get along best with AJ, since we have similar personalities. But I also have a temper, which is unfortunate because, unlike a normal human being, I have superpowers. Speaking of which, I will now reveal to you my powers. I'm quite fond of all of them. Probably my biggest one (as well as my favorite), I
have the power to control the elements. Thunderstorms, hurricanes, snow- you name it. Usually when there's a really big storm, I'm in a really bad mood. This power comes in handy because I could, say just whip up a tornado carry whoever I'm fighting away. Or just wreak
havoc on a particular area. Another power is the lovely ability to defy gravity. Barriers are not a problem. I can see incredibly well in the dark, even in pitch blackness. My eyes actually serve two purposes, other than that. One, I can mesmerize anyone to the point
of where they actually stand there in a daze. Secondly, if someone shoots a deathray or laser at me, I can simply use my eyes to reflect it on them. Kinda sucks to be them, doesn't it? Lastly, I can tune into Shawna's psychic ability so we're able to work more efficiently together.
Ah, now for my costume. I designed it in my favorite colors, light, shimmery purple and silver. The costume has two main pieces. The first is a pair of silver cargo pants, with specially designed pockets to hold my portable weapons (lasers, guns, etc.). I don't really go for wearing skirts or dresses. Plus, pants are more comfortable to fight in. The second of my outfit would be (DUH) the top. It's a light purple shirt with sleeves that stop at the elbow and it shimmers in such a way that if you stare at it too long, you'll be hypnotized.
It's made from a very special kind of fabric. I also have rings on most of my fingers. It's a fetish of mine. One of these days, I'm gonna whoop AJ's behind for "borrowing" them one too many times.
Lastly, my shoes. They are 3 inch platform sneakers. Since I'm only 5'3", I need the extra height. Oh yeah, I also wear a silvery purple mask across my eyes, so none of the BSB will recognize me. And that's
my awesome costume.
All righty then (Thanks Bri!)! Well, there's Liz's very interesting costume. These next few parts are gonna be about us, but we're gonna have to be careful what we reveal to you. See, the Boys are very close on our tails and well, we're not quite ready to give up our
villainess ways just yet. So coming up, you'll find out about our hideout and how we get Aaron to tell us the BSB's secrets.
