All I Have To Give
Chapter 1

"Jessica, wait up," yelled Michelle.
Jessica stopped and waited. Her best friend Michelle Laurence caught up and walked down the hallway with her.
"Are you going to the concert next week?"
"Which one?" asked Jessica.
"Duh! The 'N Sync concert."
"Oh yeah, I'm going."
"Is something wrong?"
"No, I've just been thinking."
"Are you sure?" asked Michelle concerned.
"Well, I'll talk to you later. C-ya."
"Bye," said Jessica.
Jessica James was a senior at Northern High School in Orlando, Florida. Her favorite band was the Backstreet Boys, but 'N Sync was one of her favorites too. In fact, she had been to more 'N Sync concerts than Backstreet Boys concerts. She had a small crush on Nick Carter. She loved his voice and smile, and his looks. She had never gotten to meet him though. She had met Justin and the guys from 'N Sync before. They were really nice, and Justin was cute, but in her mind, he couldn't compare to Nick.
At the end of the day she got in her car and drove home. She took the mail from the mailbox and set it on the kitchen counter. There wasn't anything for her. She dropped her books in her room and came back in the kitchen to get some food. All of a sudden the phone rang. Jessica picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Is Jessica James there?"
"This is her, who is this?"
"This is Nick Carter."
"What?"
"Nick Carter, from the Backstreet Boys..."
"Oh! Hi!" She couldn't believe it! She had just been thinking about him, and he called. But how did he get her number?
"I ran into Justin, from 'N Sync and he gave me your note," Nick explained.
"Oh, that's right. Where are you at right now?"
"I'm at home in Orlando. We have some time off for thanksgiving. You live in Orlando too right?"
"Yeah," said Jessica.
"Cool. So... do you like sports?"
"Yeah."
"What's your favorite sport?"
"I love basketball, but I'm not very good."
"Mine too, me and Brian play all the time.
"Cool," said Jessica.
"Are you in high school?"
"Yeah, I'm a senior."
"I would be a senior," said Nick.
"How do you go to school?"
"I have a tutor and I study everyday, sometimes every other day when we're busy. My brother Aaron does the same thing."
"What grade would he be in?"
"He'd probably be in 6th," said Nick.
Jessica and Nick talked for awhile about everything from music to school to sports and animals. Jessica was surprised how comfortable she felt talking to him. They decided to meet at the hardrock the next day for lunch.
