We have raffle tickets available for purchase! We will be giving away 2 separate items, a Kindle Fire and a hand crafted wooden lawn swing with stand, during the Columbus County Fireworks Celebration on July 3 at South Columbus High School! Stop by the library, come to the chamber office, or purchase tickets from our chamber directors. Membership dues alone are not enough to effectively operate the chamber so please help us help you.

Hopefully, all of our area Moms had a blessed and very happy Mother’s Day! Thanks again to the area businesses who are Chamber members that participated in the Mother’s Day Fern Promotion. A special thanks to the event co-sponsor, McPherson Greenhouses. The Kimberly Ferns were gorgeous!!

The Eighth Annual Bass Tournament is on Saturday, June 2. Each year this event has grown and this year should be even bigger and better than the last. We are still fund raising for the 25th Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration which will be held on Tuesday, July 3. Sponsor letters will go out soon and phone calls will also be made. Remember to give from your heart and let your patriotic spirit guide you. Please let us know if you want to help us keep this spirited tradition alive and well by becoming a sponsor of any dollar amount!

Our Tabor City Queens will entertain for us on July 3. You certainly don’t want to miss them and I am sure that you will not want to miss hearing the Army Ground Forces Band from Fort Bragg, NC. We are blessed to have them join us this year to for our 25th Anniversary of the Columbus County Fireworks Celebration. They really do have some great ensembles lined up and have amazing music planned to WOW us and put us all in the patriotic mood that our Independence Day deserves! We will see you there!!

Keep your eyes and ears open for information regarding another “In the Ritz at Six” event that will be planned for later in the summer.

We are still waiting on the cookbooks. Please bear with us!

Together we will make Tabor City a better place to live, work, play, and do business.

Remember to help us help you put “Feet on Streets” in Tabor City!
