A big shipment of N. C. Yam Festival t-shirts has arrived! We now have a new color, yellow, available in the t-shirts for adults and children. We do have yellow sweatshirts for children and white only available in adult sweatshirts. Please note that there are still some white short sleeve t-shirts for sell, as well as, a few white long sleeve t-shirts. A new shipment of caps has also arrived. The price of all short sleeve t-shirts is $10, long sleeve t-shirts are $12 and all sweatshirts are $15. The caps are also $15. Other souvenir items are also available (cookbooks, etc.) Souvenirs may be purchased from the N. C. Yam Festival Headquarters, Tabor City Public Library. The library also has the Yam Festival Schedule of Events, Train Ride tickets, Sweet Potato Quality Contest information, etc. Please call Ms. Pat or Ms. Judy at 910-653-3774 for information or stop by the library at 101 E. Fifth Street. The library located next door to the chamber office. Yam Festival Parade Permits must be obtained from the chamber office or the library. Note that various fees may apply for certain types of entries. We still need sponsors of floats for the Yam Festival Parade. Call the chamber office today to secure your ad on a float. Don’t wait…time may run out! Many events take place during the year to attract folks to Tabor City and into our business community. Below you will find a calendar of events for October - December. Mark your calendars!
