About the Southern Off Road 4WD Association

The Southern Off Road 4WD Association (usually referred to as "SORA") is a non-profit organization open to all people interested and all types of 4x4s. We pride ourselves on providing a family-oriented atmosphere at all of our trips and events. We have members from all walks of life, some new to the sport and some who have been wheeling for years. We also have a unique membership opportunity called a "rider only" membership. This membership is available for those who may not have a 4x4 for whatever reason but like to participate on the trips as a rider. The club has several official weekend trips a year, short local trips as well as meetings and get-togethers off the trail. We have monthly meetings to take care of business, introduce new members and to just get together and talk about 4wheeling. These usually take place in Smithfield, NC.
